Watch Our Video
Hi! We appreciate you taking the time to look at our profile. We are Luke and Joy. We have a 5-year-old son who is excited for a sibling that will share a similar story of adoption with him. Some of the things we value are our faith in Jesus, time together as a family, time with our friends and family, traveling, and having fun!
Adoption is a big part of our family; we always knew that we would grow our family through adoption and would love to continue to do that. We are excited to provide any child with a loving and nurturing home. We want every child in our home and family to always know that they are loved, valued, and specially created by God. We would love to hear your story and get to know you more!
A Little About Us
How We Met: Our story is a bit unconventional as we connected through social media. We communicated for about 10 months before deciding to date without having met. A couple of months later, we met in person and knew quickly that we wanted to get married. We’ve been married for 11 years. We are each other’s best friend and feel very blessed that God brought us together.
What Keeps Us Busy: Our faith and relationship with Jesus are a top priority for us. We are very involved in church and love spending time with our church family. As a family we are intentional about spending time together throughout the day and having a designated “family day” once a week. We also see Joy’s immediate and some extended family regularly as they live nearby. Luke is the lead pastor at our church and also works as a firefighter 1-2 days a week. Joy is a stay-at-home mom and enjoys staying busy with our son and homeschooling.
Why We Love Adoption: Adoption has made our family; Luke is adopted, and we adopted our son as a newborn. We love that it reflects God’s loving heart for us. We also love that you are able to be a part of our open adoption and can still have a tangible connection to your child, if you wish.

Our Neighborhood & Home in New Jersey
Our city is diverse and family friendly. We enjoy going to different local events and different fairs/festivals. Our neighborhood has parks, cafes, and restaurants that are within walking distance.
We live in a 3-bedroom house. What we love about our home is how welcoming it feels. We’ve maximized seating space because we love having family and friends and their kids over.
Our house has a spacious living room, dining area, and kitchen that has a large island and an eat-in. One of the bedrooms is set up as a playroom with an attached small side room that we use for homeschooling.
We have a small front yard and larger backyard with an above ground pool, which we enjoy all summer long as a family and with Joy’s nephew and our friends’ kids.
We also have an RV on a lot of several acres that we enjoy going to in our free time. It allows us to get away from the city and get a nice change of pace and scenery.
Our Promise
Because of how we’ve personally experienced adoption, we know what a beautiful thing it is to have a loving family that your precious child can be a part of. But we also know that this can be a difficult decision and we are aware of the heartache and grief that comes with it. As a family, we promise to:
*Pray for you as you carry your baby and take care of yourself and your baby
*Pray for God’s wisdom, peace, love, and comfort to cover you as you go through this process
*Provide a loving and nurturing home where your child can grow and thrive
*Provide a home where your child will know your love for them and God’s love for them
*Work with you in creating an optimal open adoption relationship, if you wish
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Our Faith
We both grew up in Christian families and connected very quickly about our beliefs of God. Our faith is what dictates our values, lifestyle, and how we treat others. We value being compassionate and kind, and giving our time and resources to help others, as we believe that reflects who God is. We've opened up our home to friends who've needed a temporary place to live, and we've opened up our hearts to sit with friends who've needed counsel and an ear to listen. We want our children to grow up with the same values and same heart for people.
What We Enjoy As A Couple
-Playing volleyball with friends at the park while our kids play together
-Tent camping
-Activities like bowling, billiards, mini golf, Top Golf
-Flying or road trips and seeing historic sites
-Game nights with friends
-Relaxing on the couch with dessert and a good show/movie or book
-Trying new things, like activities or restaurants
Fun Facts
-Luke has been to every continent except Antarctica.
-Joy has been to Asia, Europe, and Africa.
-We've been shark "diving" twice but only saw a small shark.
-We did a 10-night National Parks road trip through 6 states and slept on a mattress in our SUV for 9 of the 10 nights.
-Our favorite city we've visited is Cape Town, South Africa.
Family Traditions
-Family Day--we aim for once a week--ex: games and a movie at home, day trip to a different city, fun activity, meal at a favorite restaurant.
-We celebrate our son's adoption finalization day every year with dinner and cake with our extended family and ours and his closest friends. We also watch his adoption video with him every year.
-A trip to the beach to kick off the summer season and a trip to the beach to end the summer season
-We spend Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day holidays with our church family at the park all day.
-We host Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner, and New Years Eve for friends and family- potluck style dinner and staying up all night playing games.

In Closing
We are grateful that you've taken the time to look at our profile and get a small glimpse of the life we want to share. We are excited to welcome another child into our home to share our values and to provide a fun, nurturing, and loving home.
As you continue to consider and go through this process, know that we are praying for you and that you are not alone. We understand the weight of this and we pray that God will continue to lead you and give you peace. We are open to cultivating a connection, as you feel is best, for you and your child and for them to know you and their story.
