Hi, we are Mark and Morgan. We like to spend time outside riding bikes and playing in the backyard. We value time spent with friends, family and building community. We are committed to raising kind, loving, empathetic children who grow to love Jesus and love others well.
About Us
We met while the two of us were working at a summer camp; this is a camp that we grew up attending and it remains an important part of our family to this day. We were married in the summer of 2015, and have enjoyed many adventures together since then.
As a couple we enjoy traveling, trying new foods, watching TV shows together, and spending time in the outdoors. We now live in Colorado with our two daughters and enjoy having extended family nearby.
We are choosing to adopt because we want to grow our family, and are now unable to do so biologically. Adoption is also a passion of ours. We have multiple extended family members who are adopted. We have seen the value of adoption and feel that we are a family who can love and care for another child in this way.
About Morgan
I am primarily a stay-at-home mom. I love getting to spend every day with our children, loving, teaching, and helping them grow into kind, generous, successful people. I also teach ballet a few hours a week.
My favorite thing to do is grab a good book, a glass of iced tea (or hot in winter), sit in the sunshine and read! I also enjoy baking, riding bikes, and embroidery. I look forward to cuddling up in our rocking chair and reading books aloud to our next child. Sharing my love for reading is something I treasure with every one of my children.
About Mark
I have been a firefighter since 2017. I enjoy being able to make a difference in people’s lives every day. I love my job as a firefighter, but the best job of all is being a husband and father. My kids bring me so much joy each day, and they are the reason for everything I do.
My hobbies are mountain biking, fly fishing, listening to music, watching movies, and playing guitar. I look forward to sharing my hobbies and helping our next child discover their own. One of my plans for the next five years is to build a tree house for our kids like my father did for me. I love to spend quality time together to help our children grow and learn to be the best they can be.
Our Family
After several years of working, traveling, and generally enjoying life as a married couple, we decided to start our family. Our first-born daughter, Baylee, passed away shortly after her birth in 2019. Since then, we have had two more biological daughters named Josie (5) and Hallie (3). We love playing outside, playing dress up, doctor, princesses, and hide-and-seek. We also love reading books aloud throughout the day and also before bed each night. Both our girls are friendly, joyful, and kind. We laugh a lot and enjoy going on adventures together.
We also have lots of extended family that live nearby. Both sets of grandparents are local, and we spend quality time together regularly. Aunts, uncles and other extended family play a significant role in our lives, and they are truly a blessing. Everyone can’t wait for us to add another child to the family!
Our Home in Colorado
We are raising our family in a lovely home in a beautiful small town near a large city. Our home is two stories with 3 bedrooms and an unfinished basement. We have a nursery set up and ready for us to personalize once we know more about the child. The open concept layout of our home and our spacious yard offer plenty of room for living and playing. In the winter we sled and make snow forts, and in the summer we enjoy relaxing on our front porch and playing on the swing set in the backyard. Our home is situated about a quarter mile from an amazing lake that offers fishing, paddleboarding, and all kinds of other great activities. We believe our home offers a dream environment for a young person to grow and learn.
Our Promise
We have so much love to give, and we promise to love your child with our whole hearts. As a couple we will work our hardest to raise your child to be well rounded and prepared to take on the challenges of life. As Christians we believe that our faith provides an amazing guide for developing good moral character and a kind, genuine human being. We are excited about the opportunity provided in an open adoption. We would love to share photos, texts, emails, phone calls, and possible visits in the future. If chosen, our top priority would be to love and cherish your child and provide for them in every possible way.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Adoption in Our Family
Adoption is an open discussion and held in high regard in our family. We both grew up with adoption being seen as a beautiful way to grow a family. We have multiple cousins and extended family members who are adopted. Our entire family appreciates and honors adoption, recognizing the beautiful impact it makes on everyone.
Our Faith
Faith is a foundational element to our household. We are Christians who attend a non-denominational church. The most important Christian principle to us is the idea that we are called to love God and love others as best as we can. It is our intention to raise our children in this belief system, but we understand that forcing ideas is not beneficial. Instead, we believe in open and honest discussions where we teach and learn together.
Education Plans
Education is something that is very important to our family. We want all of our children to be highly educated and have all the opportunities presented to them to achieve their dreams. We also recognize that all children are different, and we are dedicated to finding the right school and education pathway for each individual child. We want them to be successful and fulfill their dreams whether this is something academic or a specific trade.
Typical Weekend with Us
We start off our mornings with a yummy breakfast. Then we normally do some kind of outdoor activity together like playing in the backyard, walking to the park, sledding, or paddleboarding. Other activities that we like to do during our weekends are hiking, camping, and going to the zoo. Next is a healthy lunch followed up with a nice naptime. After naptime we often try to hang out with some friends or family. If we decide to have a low-key evening at home, then we normally watch a movie/show altogether while we enjoy dinner. Then we put our daughters to bed, and we stay up together watching a show, reading, or doing a puzzle.
In Closing
Raising our children has been the most wonderful part of our lives, and we will put the same love and care into this new life. Our family will always be open to sharing this wonderful journey with you if you are interested. We cannot wait to bring another child into our home to love and cherish.
