We are a young family of three that centers ourselves around faith and love. We prioritize time as a family and make a point to make memories from the simple joys in everyday life, while also loving a good adventure. We love to take advantage of Western Washington’s great outdoors! We can’t wait to share our lives with another child or sibling group, and get to know you and your desires for them as well. Thank you so much for considering us!
About Us
We’ve been married for 10 years and together for almost 14. We have a daughter named Kennedy who is 2 years old; we were blessed to adopt her from birth! We first met in college and were married the summer after we graduated. Our marriage has been one of our greatest joys, constantly learning to love each other deeper and more selflessly. We are truly best friends and becoming parents has only amplified our love for each other and our little growing family!
Together we love playing board games, going for walks, and playing cornhole. We are members of a non-denominational Christian church and are active in the church community. We host a weekly Bible study group and have a strong support system of friends that have become like family. We love a balance of busy and rest, often enjoying a local adventure and then a day of rest at home to recharge as a family. We are true believers that there is joy to be found in the everyday moments of life, and time at home is just as precious as the exciting moments out exploring the beautiful nature we live near.
All About Michael... by Becca
Michael is a dedicated husband, father, and leader of our family. Michael has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and prioritizes growing in his faith. He’s a project manager and estimator for a local home-remodeling construction company. As a dad, Michael is incredibly hands on. From the start, he was involved with diaper changes and the care of our daughter. He goes above and beyond to connect with Kennedy which often includes books, toys, and some giggle-filled games of hide and seek. He’s gentle, loving, and partners with me to meet her needs. He’s looking forward to teaching our next child all about the great outdoors, share his love of music, and teach them how to build things.
Michael has a bunch of diverse hobbies, the most notable being music and hunting/fishing. Michael plays acoustic and electric guitar and enjoys writing his own music. He also loves fishing and hunting a few different kinds of game here in Washington. Ultimately, Michael’s kindness, leadership, and love anchor our family. He helps guide us towards deeper connection and provides relentlessly for our family.
All About Becca... by Michael
Becca is a loving wife and nurturing mother who loves God. She was an elementary school teacher for 9 years before we were blessed to adopt our daughter Kennedy. Becca transitioned to being a stay-at-home-mom, but still substitute teaches a few times a month during the school year. Becca has one of the biggest hearts for kids and others. She attends two different MomCo groups during the week, and this fall will serve on the leadership team for each. As a mom, Becca takes care of Kennedy’s needs diligently and loves to teach her new things as she grows. She is patient, nurturing, and warm. She is looking forward to several things with our next child such as reading with them, exploring outside, and fostering creativity.
Becca’s hobbies are diverse, and she loves trying new things! She enjoys crochet, photography, weightlifting, biking, and going for walks. This year she opened a small business selling hand-painted Bibles and tumblers. Becca’s unwavering love and dedication is the heartbeat of our family. I couldn’t ask for a better spouse and friend to help us navigate life as we look to grow our family!
Our Family
We have an almost 2-year-old daughter named Kennedy, whom we were blessed to adopt at birth! She is joyful and healthy. She loves to read, be outside, and play in water any chance she can get!
We are blessed that the majority of our immediate families live within a half hour of our home! Michael has a brother and sister, who each have several young children with their spouses. They live close to us and we see them a few times a month. Michael’s parents live in the same town as us and family get togethers are frequent with his large extended family. Becca’s parents and sister live about thirty minutes away from our home, and we see them up to a couple times a week.
We spend holidays with our families and each side has special traditions and things we look forward to all year long. For example, the big Fourth of July parties on Michael’s parents’ farm and annual Christmas ornament decorating with Becca’s family. All of our family has been incredibly supportive of our adoption journey, both with Kennedy and of course now! They are just as excited to lovingly welcome our next child or sibling group into our family.
Home Sweet Home in Western WA
We were both born and raised in Western Washington and love living in the Pacific Northwest! We live in a one-story, 3-bedroom home on one acre in a private neighborhood. Our street only has 7 homes and many young families. Our property is surrounded by gorgeous, protected woodlands that feature amazing fall colors and wonderful shade in the summer. We love to go for walks and bike rides around our quiet neighborhood streets. Our home is 4 years old and is one of our favorite places to be! We love to spend evenings on our covered back patio and hosting friends and family in our great room. One of our favorite traditions is decorating our home for fall and especially Christmas.
Western Washington has an overall mild climate with soft season changes. This means we can take advantage of the outdoors pretty comfortably all year long! We are minutes from ocean beaches and lakes, with a little longer drive to some mountain trails. We have so much to do in our area and we usually take Saturdays to explore and revisit some of our favorite spots.
Our Promise
We have SO MUCH love and joy for the child or sibling group that joins our family! We promise to love them unconditionally, support their ever-changing needs, and nurture their desires as they grow and develop. We promise to make sacrifices that will only benefit our family and provide a stable financial upbringing. We will prioritize a strong education and keep both the present and future in mind as they learn and grow. We also promise to honor and respect you as we share their adoption story with them, and share it when they’re young so they will always know of your love for them.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Adoption in our family: about our daughter Kennedy
To know Kennedy is to know pure joy! She is truly one of the happiest and joyful kiddos you'd ever meet. She will be two this fall and is in perfect health. We adopted her from birth with Lifetime Adoption. Kennedy loves books, being outside, and especially playing in water. She loves running errands with Becca and loves waving and saying "hi" to folks we pass in the store. She brings a smile to just about everyone she meets. She has a close bond with her grandparents and loves attending our big family parties! We can tell by the way she interacts with other young children and babies that she will be a loving sibling!
Our thoughts on open adoption
We can't express enough the level of respect and love we have for you already! We are interested in whatever kind of relationship you'd like to have with us, including an open adoption! Whether that's sharing photos, videos, letters, or a visit, we'd like to partner with you to establish a plan that feels perfect for all of us. At the same time, we absolutely respect your decision if you'd be more comfortable with a closed adoption. No matter what you decide, we will always speak highly of you and convey the enormous amount of love you have for your child to them!
5 things we love on a weekend
- Browsing small-town boutiques and coffee shops
- Visiting local beaches or walking trails
- Movie marathons!
- Hosting family
- Attending church as a family
Things we love about where we live!
- Mountains! We live within an hour of the mountains and are blessed with their beauty from almost any drive we take in our area.
- The ocean! We are minutes from a neat spot where we can walk along rocky/sandy beaches, beachcombing and looking for treasures that washed ashore.
- Minutes to everything! We live in a rural area but still just minutes to the big box stores and cute small towns. We enjoy the serenity of the farmlands and woods with modern conveniences nearby.
- Support System! From our closest family and friends, we have an incredible local support system. They are ALL incredibly supportive of our adoption journey and cannot wait to welcome another child or sibling group to our family!
In Closing
Thank you for the opportunity to tell you about our life and our hearts to adopt again! We would love to get to know you and the hopes and dreams you have for your child or sibling group. If you'd like, we're open to creating an open adoption to stay in contact as your child grows up. We may not know each other yet, but we are already praying for you. We are thrilled to be growing our family again and cannot wait to share our lives with them!
