Hello! We are Mitchell and Emma, and we live in a small town in Pennsylvania. We are a young energetic family, and we love to be outside enjoying time with our two dogs. We have always wanted to be parents, and we look forward to providing a loving home to a child. We hope to enjoy time with a little one together as a family where they can grow and explore.

It is our desire to get to know you and grow a relationship with you. Through this relationship we hope to learn what you hope to provide your child with through us, so that we can provide that for your child as they learn and grow.

About Us

We got married in 2015 and have been together since high school. We met through the youth group at our church, growing up as friends and blossoming that friendship into a relationship. Having spent longer together than apart at this point, we have grown so much as individuals and as a couple.

We always knew, even from early in our relationship, that we wanted to create and grow a family together. The desire to have children was met with infertility and miscarriage. This did not deter our call to be parents, but simply drove us to pray and find the path that would lead us to creating a family. That path was soon discovered to be adoption.

Things we enjoy doing together: hiking, going to drag races, cooking, spending time with our dogs, and going to the beach.

About Emma

According to Mitchell: Emma is one of the most loving and caring people that you will ever meet. She has always been great with children, which is something she gets from her grandmother.

Emma became a nurse so that she can provide care to those who need her help. She loves that she is able to help others through something that she is good at. Some of her favorite things to do are to play with her puppies, bake fantastic treats, hiking with her family, and doing anything that is art related.

Emma is looking forward to sharing her love of art and baking with our child as they grow.

About Mitchell

According to Emma: Mitchell is a very caring and compassionate person. He is always there to support others in any way necessary. He is a very easy-going person that cares deeply about his family.

Mitchell is the third generation of his family to work in the family butcher shop. He is the manager and lead butcher of the business. His favorite thing about his job is getting to continue the work and honor his grandfather and father through growing the business; and his second favorite thing about his job is creating new recipes and flavors.

Mitchell likes: weight lifting, watching NHRA drag racing, watching football, spending time playing with the dogs, and trying new recipes.

Mitchell looks forward to being able to be there for a child and to teach them new things about the world. He wants to be able to provide the love that was given to him as a child to a child of his own.

Our Family

We don’t currently have any children, but we are excited to be able to provide all of our love and care to a child in the future.

Our extended family all live within a few miles of where we live now. Mitchell works with his family in the family business and Emma’s brother works there with Mitchell too.

Adoption has touched our family in the past because Mitchell’s cousin was adopted as a baby and has recently been able to reconnect with his birth family. Everyone in our family looks forward to being able to provide the love that was given to his cousin to a child that is brought into our family.

We look forward to being able to share our traditions of family holiday meals with a baby in the future. We also would love to be able to take them to the beach with us since Mitchell’s parents have a condo where we have been going to since we got engaged years ago.

Our Home in Pennsylvania

We live in a small town in the middle of Pennsylvania. It is surrounded by lots of wooded areas and farm fields. We currently live in a two-bedroom house with lots of space for a child to play. When we were looking for a house, we knew that we wanted a large yard for our kids and our dogs to be able to play, so we moved into our home with an acre and a half for them to enjoy. We are surrounded by woods but are only minutes away from everything in town.

We also have recently fenced in a majority of our yard so that our kids and dogs will be able to enjoy the yard in safety. When we moved into our home, Emma’s grandparents passed down the large swing set that has been in the family for many years so that our future kids will be able to enjoy it like Emma did.

We are currently working on turning our second bedroom into a nursery and future bedroom for a little one. Emma has plans to decorate it with fuzzy woodland creature decorations and with a large rocker to be able to rock our baby.

We love that we will be able to share all of this with a little one and that they will be able to grow up in it and enjoy it.

Our Promise

We promise to provide all the love and care that we have to your baby and to bring them into our little family. We promise to give them anything and everything that we have so that they can grow up to be a happy and healthy adult.

We will support your child in anything that they enjoy and excel at, whether that is in education, sports, or other activities. We promise to always look out for their best interest so that they can grow in what they enjoy.

We are looking forward to nothing more than being able to love a little one that is brought into our family. It would mean the world for us to be able to be loving and supportive parents to a little one.

We are open to lots of different connections with a birth mother and whatever you are comfortable with, whether this means letters and pictures or yearly visits. We are open to having a relationship with you in the future also, if that is what you want.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Special Interests

We both love to read and would love to be able to share that with a little one, whether it is story time or helping them to find what they enjoy.

Mitchell is involved with the local library and would love to share all of the activities that they have with a little one.

Our Faith

Our faith has helped to shape us as individuals and has given us the security to know that we are loved by God, in addition to our family. We would love to share this with a child so that they can feel that love and support too.

Our Love of the Outdoors

We love to be outside and to take our dogs for walks in the woods. This is something that Emma grew up loving to do with her Dad and is an activity that we enjoy doing with her family.

We would enjoy being able to let a child explore this with us as they grow up so that they can enjoy it too.

Our Community

We might live in the woods, but we are only minutes from all of the amenities that can be enjoyed in town. We live in small town USA and are involved in our community.

Emma was in charge of the kids' program at church. Mitchell loves to be able to support the local football program through giving back to it through his family business.

Our community is small and tight knit, so there will always be someone to help support a child that is being welcomed into our family. Adoption is something that many different families in our community have experienced and would be something that they would be happy to help support us in.

In Closing

Through the adoption process we hope to grow our family and provide a loving and caring home for a child to grow and thrive! We look forward to making memories as a family and building on traditions from both of our families. Providing a child with every opportunity to grow and explore is something we will cherish greatly! In regard to level of contact post adoption, we are open to any level of contact up to and including pictures and email/letter updates with the potential of 1-2 visits yearly, depending on your needs and desires.
