Hi from sunny South Florida! We are so thankful that you are taking the time to learn more about us. We are a young Christian couple who are excited to grow our family through open adoption. We cannot wait to learn more about you and are open to pictures, videos, letters, phone calls, and scheduled visits!
About Us
We met at the beach here in Florida and haven’t looked back! We connected over enjoying a lot of the same things: staying active through walks/bike rides, having game nights, and traveling. Within our first year of dating, we knew that we not only loved each other but also agreed on our future path. We often spoke of our desire to grow our family through adoption and are so happy to be in the process currently. We have been very blessed that our friends and family have been supportive of our decision to adopt, and we both look forward to the future that lies ahead!
About Mitchell (written by Miranda)
According to Miranda: Mitchell is outgoing and funny and enjoys spending time with family. He always puts others first before himself and will do anything to protect the people he loves. Mitchell is a great listener, but also appreciates being heard and understood. This has helped him become a great teacher that takes time getting to know his students and parents. Mitchell enjoys video games but also loves the outdoors, alongside playing sports. He plays in both a men’s baseball and basketball league, in addition to coaching baseball for the school team.
Mitchell is looking forward to sharing many memories & experiences with our future child such as: teaching them how to ride a bike & swim, throwing a ball, taking them to sporting events & theme parks, and attending award ceremonies. I truly think Mitchell will be a great father and will love our child no matter what. He will show compassion and understanding that will go a long way. He cannot wait to see what’s in store for the future of our family.
About Miranda (written by Mitchell)
According to Mitchell: Miranda is a calm and cheerful person who is always trying to find the good in every situation. She is a great listener and is an amazing person to be able to talk things through with. Miranda absolutely loves to travel, so it makes sense that she really enjoys working as a Senior Sales Manager in the hotel industry.
Miranda can be a total bookworm, but also loves to hang out with family and friends. She is always itching to host a game night and will definitely be teaching our future child all the games. You can often find her singing and dancing about our home (often making up her own songs). I can’t wait to see her and our future child playing around our home.
Miranda will make an amazing mother who will love our child unconditionally. I know she cannot wait to show our child all the fun there is to be had by traveling (in real life and in books), as well as how to be their best self.
Our Home in Florida
We live in a family friendly neighborhood that has some great amenities and is close to many local attractions. The community has a pool, a kids’ playroom in the gym, as well as an outdoor playground. The area has a ton of activities for kids throughout the year including live local music, child author readings, farmer’s markets, hiking trails, and tons of parks. We also love to walk around our complex where there are local food trucks that stop by, kid friendly pool parties, and even family movie nights.
Our home has two large bedrooms. Your child will have their very own bedroom and bathroom. We cannot wait to decorate the room and fill it with books, toys, and love!
Our Extended Family
We have been blessed to have Miranda’s parents and sisters live only 15 minutes away. We always enjoy visiting them for family dinners, game night, and pool days. They are often our concert buddies as well, as the concert venue is not far from their home. Miranda’s sisters are a bit younger (college and high school), but already cannot wait to be aunts. They are already arguing over who will be the favorite.
Mitchell’s mom and dad live in Georgia. They are about an 8-hour drive or a short plane ride from us in Florida. We visit them about 1-2 times a year, if not more. We always enjoy going out on the lake and soaking in the Georgia summer and fall weather with them. Mitchell’s sister lives in South Carolina. She is currently pregnant and expecting this Fall! We can’t wait to meet our future niece/nephew.
Between our families and our friends that we consider family, we will definitely have a large village for our baby to grow up with.

More About Our Family
Education
Education is very important to us, especially with Mitchell being a middle school teacher at a private Chrisitan school. While grades are not the most important thing, we do hope to show the importance of hard work, applying yourself and giving something your all. We hope to be very involved in school activities, trips and sports, or anything that our child shows an interest in. With Mitchell's job we will be able to send our child to the school he teaches at, which offers amazing education opportunities. We will support them regardless of if they wish to continue on to college or a trade route, as long as they are happy and fulfilled in what they are pursuing.
Our Plans for Childcare
Miranda's parents live only a few minutes away, so her mom will watch the baby during the day until the baby is of age to go to school. It is very important that either us or family will watch the baby, so we are truly grateful that she will be able to offer a helping hand. Miranda's mom was a stay-at-home mom for Miranda and her sisters and also used to nanny for other families after her girls grew up. She is so excited to be able to watch and bond with her future grandchild!
Our Musical Interests
We love music and listen to a wide variety of music. Miranda can often be found singing around the house and Mitchell love to play the drums. He will often play in the church band over the holidays. We have season passes to a local concert venue, so you can frequently find us at concerts all year long. Some of our most recent favorite concerts were Mitchell Tenpenny, Hozier, Post Malone and Luke Bryan.
Traveling
We absolutely love traveling and exploring new places. We frequently travel to Georgia and New York to visit friends and family. One of our yearly traditions is traveling to New York in October for Miranda's birthday. It's great to be able to experience true fall for a bit (apple picking, pumpkin carving, and haunted houses). We also love to get out of the country and explore as well. One of our favorite trips to date is our honeymoon to Japan. Being able to see all the history, try all the food, and even experience a few of their theme parks was absolutely amazing.
When we are not traveling out of state, we love to take trips within Florida to different spots: Key West, Disney World, and Tampa. When traveling, we often talk about how excited we are to show our future child all of these places and create new memories with him/her!
