Thank you for taking the time to view our profile and considering our family for your child. We are honored that you would consider entrusting us with such a precious gift. We have one daughter, who is very excited to be a big sister, two dogs, and a very supportive family that live nearby. We look forward to going on walks, spending time with family, going on trips, and learning about the world around us together. We are excited to expand our family through the beauty of adoption, the opportunity to pursue the child’s dreams, and keep in touch with you, if you would like.

About Our Family

We were set up on a blind date and knew instantly that we each found our person. At first we lived 2 states apart, but it strengthened our relationship and gave us a better foundation for a marriage. We have been married for fifteen years, have two dogs and have been blessed with one child, Kenzie. Since Kenzie, we have been unable to have more biological children, but have always wanted a large family. Leslie is unable to carry any more children; however, we are excited to grow our family through adoption!

As a family, we enjoy activities such as taking walks, going to the park, playing board games, traveling across the US, reading, and spending time with extended family and friends. Our daughter has given us a new perspective on how to view the world as we watch her grow and develop, see her reach milestones, and just being with her.  We encourage her to learn and explore the world around her. We are excited to grow our family and teach your child about the world around us and for Kenzie to share her love learning, life, and animals. We look forward to traveling the US and to show them some of our history and what made the US the US.

About Nathan

Nathan has a background in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Pharmacy and works as a Pharmacist. Nathan enjoys playing with Kenzie, reading sci-fi/fantasy, watching sci-fi shows, computer gaming, and talking politics/sports. He always enjoys watching his college football team – Ohio State University. One of his favorite things to do is planning family outings for the three of us to go to places where we can experience new things as well as enjoy our favorite places. He encourages our daughter to be active, try new foods, and learn new things.  Nathan is looking forward to teaching the joy of learning to our next child.

About Leslie

Leslie has a background in Business, Chemistry, and Mathematics and is working as a Beaker EPIC Analyst for a hospital.  She is someone who likes to please everyone around her and make them happy.  Leslie enjoys cooking/baking, swimming, cross-stitch, puzzles, being outside, spending time with Kenzie and reading. On weekends, she is often part of an animal transport group that transports animals to rescues or foster/adoptive families.  Leslie has also enjoyed being the nursery coordinator (19 yrs) and occasionally teaches Sunday School for our church.  She is excited to teach our children the love of the world around us, love for animals, and how to cook.  Leslie has a wonderful heart and will be a fantastic mother to your child.

Our Home in Illinois

We live in a four-bedroom home in a newer neighborhood that backs up to a nature preserve. Besides walking around the neighborhood there are trails to explore and wildlife such as turkeys, squirrels, and woodchucks.  We have a large fenced-in backyard where we love to listen to the birds and learn the type of trees around us. The yard is a great space for kids to play and there is a playland for them too. Our neighborhood has many young families with kids of all ages and races.

Our Family Traditions

Our family has developed many traditions for holidays and celebrating birthdays which include our grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We always laugh when a birthday arrives, as it seems like there are several celebrations to attend. Each holiday brings its own special traditions but most important is being with family and sharing the time with each other. Our favorite holiday is Christmas with the decorations, watching the floats in the Lighted Parade, seeing the houses decorated for the season, and church events.  We also enjoy dressing up on Halloween and walking around seeing our friends and family in costumes. Easter is fun with several egg hunts and lots of yummy food and on the Fourth of July we enjoy food, games, and fireworks. We also have Sunday Night dinner with Leslie’s family where we rotate who cooks and the kids all play.

We love spending time with our families, and they are thrilled to welcome our next child into the family and include them in all of our traditions.

Our Promise

We will love, cherish, and grow with your child. We will be their biggest cheerleaders and encourage them to succeed in all their desires. We promise to assist them with any hurdles they may encounter and show them how to succeed emotionally, spiritually, educationally, and mentally. We promise to show them how to enjoy the little things in life as well as cherish the family, friends, and animals around them.

We promise to always speak about you with love and that your child will always know their birth story.  Should you like, we wish to include you and share with you letters, pictures, and visits.
