Hello from North Carolina, the beautiful state we call home! From the mountains to the coast, to the lake in our backyard and the changing seasons, we always make time for the outdoors and gathering together with friends and family.
We feel deeply called to grow our family through open adoption and to give a child a loving, safe home. It’s something that has been placed on our hearts for many years, and we wholeheartedly believe this is the path meant for our family.
We are looking forward to meeting you and discovering the hopes you have for your baby’s future!
Our Sweet Story
We have been married for 12 years. We love anything that incorporates being active–we actually met at our local Crossfit gym! Over time, our friendship turned into a relationship, and we realized we had something really special. We’ve been inseparable ever since, building a life together and growing side-by-side. We always wanted to be parents, although our journey to parenthood came with challenges. Both of our children were born prematurely and required long stays in the NICU. Now they are healthy and strong, and just as excited as we are to grow our family again, this time through adoption. Our faith has guided us in everything we’ve faced together. Our story has strengthened us as a couple and given us a heart for the things that truly matter.
Things we love to do together:
✈️ Traveling is our love language—we love exploring all parts of the world and are so excited to continue those adventures with our new addition.
🏃♀️ Staying active is important to us—we enjoy working out, CrossFit, marathons, and races.
⚽ We love cheering on our kids at their sports activities and games.
🚤 Summer weekends are often spent on our boat, enjoying time together out on the lake. We cherish time with family, both local and out of state.
🌄 We enjoy exploring North Carolina campsites and trails—this is one of our kids’ favorite activities.
⛪ Faith is central to our lives, and we value mission trips and attending church together.
💕 We also love date nights and a good “staycation” to relax and reconnect.
Through two traumatic pregnancies and having both of our babies spend time in the NICU, we have felt a deep sense that God has been guiding our journey from the very beginning. We are excited and hopeful to see where He leads next as we wait to meet the child who will become the newest addition to our family. ❤️

All About Nick
I am the middle of three brothers, and we grew up spending our days immersed in the outdoors in Mississippi. That passion has stayed with me through the years, and I still thrive on spending as much time in nature as possible. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, or family camping trips, or embarking on hunting adventures out West or internationally, the outdoors is where I feel most alive. I am known for being reliable, thoughtful and intentional.
💪 Exercise is a non-negotiable part of my life—it’s something I make time for no matter what.
⛪ Faith is an important part of my life, and I value attending church and staying grounded in it.
✈️ Even living a few states away, my family makes it a priority to stay close and spend time together often.
👨👩👧👦 My brothers each have three kids, and I cherish the time all the cousins share together.
🌿 I love teaching my kids about nature, both in our backyard and on our adventures.
🧭 I’m excited to keep growing our “adventure crew” and the memories we make together.
💼 I work as a sales executive for a regional mechanical company and value the flexibility it gives me to prioritize family.
According to Dalissia: Nick is loyal and compassionate. He’s humble and patient, quiet and reserved, but bold in his faith. He’s a wonderful father and a caring partner.

Our Home at the Lake in North Carolina
We live in a spacious four-bedroom, two-story home in a beautiful lake community in North Carolina. Our home has an open floor plan that makes it easy to spend time together, and we even have an extra room that we’re excited to transition into a nursery. One of our favorite parts of the house is our cozy movie room, where we love gathering for family nights. Outside, we have a large, wooded, fenced-in backyard with a fire-pit, swing set, and a big back porch where we spend lots of time relaxing and making memories together. We also have a friendly black lab named Penny.
Our neighborhood is very family-friendly with two parks, tennis and pickleball courts, a soccer field, and a large community pool. Dalissia is also the manager of our neighborhood swim team, which has been such a fun and special part of our lives. Our neighborhood is super social with kids of various ages. We own a pontoon boat and spend most of our summers out on the lake, where the kids especially love tubing and spending time at the sandbar. It’s a wonderful place to live, play, and grow together as a family.
Our Forever Promise
We promise, as prospective adoptive parents, to raise our children to the very best of our ability, guided by strong Christian values and morals. It is important to us to instill compassion, kindness, and a heart for caring for others in our family. We believe deeply in serving others and are actively involved in both local and international mission work. We are grateful for the excellent education our children receive and are committed to being active, present parents—something we’ve prioritized since the beginning by reading to our children nightly from the time they were babies. We want you to know how much we respect and value the incredibly difficult decision you are making, and we promise to do everything we can to provide a nurturing, supportive, and faith-filled home for your child. We also hope to maintain an open relationship with you, so we can honor and celebrate the beautiful birth mother and family this child comes from. Our family is truly excited and hopeful to meet you. ❤️

More About Our Family
Dalissia's Custom Cakes!
A few years ago, Dalissia spontaneously decided to bake and decorate our son’s 2nd birthday cake, even though she had never really decorated one before. After watching a few videos, we were surprised when it turned out better than we expected! Not long after, she stepped away from work to stay home with the children, and that’s when she realized how much she truly enjoyed creating custom cakes. She began teaching herself new techniques and started making birthday cakes for our friends’ children. Before we knew it, what started as a simple experiment had grown into a business—she was selling custom cakes! It became an unexpected adventure and revealed a talent we never even knew she had.
Children's Education
We feel incredibly blessed that our children attend one of the top 10 and highly ranked charter schools in North Carolina! Knowing they are in an environment that values strong academics, character, and growth gives us so much peace of mind. It is about a 15-minute drive from our house. The teachers and staff truly care, and it shows in the quality of education our kids are receiving every day. We’re so grateful for the opportunities they have there and the foundation it’s helping build for their future.
What our Friends say about Us
If you asked our friends to describe us, they’d probably say we’re fun-loving and always up for an adventure, whether it’s something big or just making everyday moments special. Our faith is a big part of who we are and shapes how we live our lives and love others. We try our best to be kind, intentional, and present, and to show up for the people in our lives. Being there for others—whether it’s through encouragement, support, or simply lending a helping hand—really matters to us and is something we never take for granted.
Our Extended Family
We’re so thankful to live just 15 minutes from Dalissia’s parents, who are a big part of our everyday lives. They are very involved with the kids and even pick them up from school a couple of days each week, which means so much to us. We see them often, and their love and support have truly been a blessing for our family. While Nick’s family lives a few states away, they make it a priority to visit us every few months, which we always look forward to. It means a lot to us that no matter the distance, both sides of our family stay closely connected and involved in our lives.
In Closing
We have always believed that adoption would be part of our story. Many, many years ago, Dalissia felt God place it on her heart, and that calling has stayed with her ever since. We truly believe that adoption is His way of expanding our family, and we are grateful for the path that has led us here and the love we are ready to share! We are looking forward to an open adoption because we truly believe your child deserves to always know you, if you choose. We would be honored to stay in contact and build a relationship over time so your child can grow up knowing their story, feeling connected to you and understanding how deeply they are loved by many.
