Hello from Wisconsin! Growing our family through adoption has been our dream for years, and welcoming another child into our home would be an incredible blessing. Having met in college and spending the last eight years together raising our two sons, we truly cherish every moment of family life. We are ecstatic to expand our household and share our deep faith and love with another child! We would love to get to know you and learn all about the hopes you hold for your child’s future.
About Us
A pancake breakfast…that is how we met in college over ten years ago. Now we are enjoying building a life filled with laughter, teamwork, and unconditional love alongside our two boys and two dogs. Our deep desire to grow our family and share our faith ultimately brought us to adoption, a path we have dreamed of walking for years. Nick originally dreamed of adoption on his mission trip to Madagascar where he helped work at an orphanage.
When we are not busy raising our sons, we genuinely love spending time together outdoors whether we are hiking local nature trails, camping during the summer, or cheering loudly at the kids’ sports games. We are so excited for the everyday adventures ahead when our baby arrives, especially introducing them to family game nights, taking cozy autumn walks through the changing leaves, and sharing all the love our home has to offer.
About Tanya
According to Nick: What I love most about Tanya is her infinite passion to improve our kids’ lives by creating sensory bins, offering a gentle spirit, and making our children’s lives brighter through warmth. Professionally, she is an early childhood teacher at a private school, where she truly loves shaping young minds and sharing her joyful faith with children. When she has free time, she loves staying active through a variety of hobbies like biking with the kids, teaching the kids to roller skate, and coaching our kids how to play football, t-ball, and soccer. When the next child arrives, she is most looking forward to sharing her nurturing guidance, reading cozy bedtime stories, and teaching our newest little one how to play games and experience the same unconditional love she gives so effortlessly to our family.
About Nick
According to Tanya: Nick has a steady, protective heart, and what I love most about him is his unwavering dedication, quiet strength, and the tireless way he works to ensure our family’s needs are always met. His personality is grounded, deeply loving, and full of patience, making him an incredible father who loves spending his free time building Legos with our kids, reading books, and going for peaceful nightly walks with the family. Professionally, he serves proudly as an Army Officer, and when he is off duty, he loves staying active by coaching our son’s soccer team, taking the boys fishing, and going hunting. He is looking forward to sharing his love for the outdoors and guiding our future child through life with the same fierce love and devotion he shows our family every single day.
Our Family
Our Sons: With core values of faith and family, we know how to spend our time away from work and make every moment matter for our sons, Edwin and Elliot. Edwin just turned 7 and loves to read, build Legos, create art projects, and show his little brother new skills. Elliot, 4, loves following his brother around while riding their bikes, using their imagination with their Paw Patrol toys, or playing on the swing set.
Our Extended Family: We also have a close extended family. Nick is the middle child of three boys and Tanya has a younger brother. We live close to both sets of our parents and see them frequently. On top of close siblings and supportive parents, Nick grew up with two cousins the same age as him and spent almost every weekend with them. Tanya, similarly, grew up with multiple cousins the same age, sharing many memories with her family. We also have two nephews and a niece, and Nick is the godparent of our youngest nephew.
Our Home in Wisconsin
Our home in western Wisconsin sits in a quiet neighborhood outside of town. We have a three-bedroom house with a large living room and playroom that sits on almost an acre of land where the kids have plenty of space to play sports, climb on the playground, jump on the trampoline, and swim in the pool. Neighbor kids love to come over and play with Edwin and Elliot, making the community feel very close-knit. With moving around the country with the military, we have come to know that a home, no matter where we are, is a place for our family to feel comfortable, loved, and a place to express who we are.

More About Our Family
Our Family Traditions
Both of our extended families are very close and supportive, which is why it is always our tradition to take two weeks of vacation every year at Christmas to be with them. We also take a family trip every summer as well. Some have been bigger trips, like a cruise. Others have been smaller trips, like to Wisconsin Dells or camping. Either way, it is our tradition to take time twice a year to ensure we take a break from our busy lives and enjoy time together with family.
Top 3 Thoughts on Parenthood
1. Parenthood has fundamentally changed how we view time and legacy. Our kids look to us not just for answers, but as a blueprint for how to navigate life, treat others with dignity and respect, and stand tall through adversity.
2. Parenthood means realizing that your love is the quiet foundation underneath everything they do. Expressing how much they mean to us isn't just about words; it's about making sure they know they are our greatest joy.
3. Watching our two boys grow up together is the greatest blessing. We get to witness a distinct, powerful bond form right in front of us. Beyond the noise, energy, and countless sibling spats, the greatest privilege of parenthood is seeing them lean on each other, learn from each other, and build a bond that will outlast us. We look forward to that bond growing with another child!
What We Love About Where We Live
Some of the things we love most about where we live are the ideal balances of space, peacefulness, and convenience getting to school/work. Having a spacious yard gives us the room to relax, work on outdoor projects, and play outside as a family, all within a neighborhood that strikes the perfect note of being peaceful yet warm and welcoming. We enjoy being just minutes away from quality local parks and an abundance of scenic trails, which make going for evening walks, hiking, and spending time in nature an effortless part of our daily routine. To top it all off, the close proximity to work and schools simplifies our schedule, cutting down on commute times and giving us more precious time to spend together at home.
Our Pets
We have two dogs and a school of fish. Our oldest dog, Luna, is an Alaskan Husky, but is not full size. She loves running around our yard and taking "treats" from our kids. Sol is a Black Mouth Cur/German Shepherd mix. Sol is a bit bigger than Luna, but is a big teddy bear. We rescued Sol from the El Paso Humane Society in 2020. Sol will love on any person that will give him attention. Both of our dogs have moved around with us and have gotten used to meeting new people and are good with kids.
