Watch Our Video

Hello, we are Nolan and Heather from Pennsylvania! We have been married for eighteen years and love being together doing projects around the house, playing in our yard, hiking to new places (especially with waterfalls), and being with family and friends.

Adoption was always something we considered, and after years of infertility, we began the process and adopted our son back in 2020. Adoption has been the greatest blessing, and we hope to grow our family through adoption again. We want to thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We would be honored to get to know you and maintain contact through whatever comfort level you choose.

About Us

Together we love hiking or biking a new trail, seeing scenic views, working in our garden, and planning what else we want to do with our small hobby farm.

During the week, we can be found…

  • Sharing family dinners every night.
  • Exploring new places on the weekend.
  • Spending time with family and friends.
  • Going to church Sunday Mornings and most Wednesday evenings.

We both have a love for animals, and if it were up to Heather, we would have a petting zoo of every kind. For right now, we have two dogs, five goats, and chickens. We have a large garden and fruit trees that we enjoy eating from. We value eating healthy and try to steer clear from preservatives, although we do love our sweets. Our siblings are a very big part of our lives, and we have a strong desire for our son and hopeful future child to have a strong bond as well. We believe they will benefit from the similar experience of adoption.

  • About Nolan (By: Heather)

Nolan is the jack of all trades and can fix everything around our home. He is very intelligent and can teach others easily. He is the most patient person I know, and I can honestly say that out of the nineteen years we have been together, I have only heard him raise his voice two times. After working as a mechanic Monday through Friday, he enjoys cozying up on the couch with us and reading. He is a man of God’s word and enjoys his Bible studies. He is a loving father whose face lights up after a day’s work when he sees our son. He provides our family with security and support and is always there when we need him.

Nolan looks forward to teaching our children Biblical values, how to use tools/build things, and being a stable figure in their lives. He is a great father to our son and is someone who our children will continually look up to and trust.

    About Heather (By:Nolan)

Heather has a bubbly personality and is always smiling. She is a hugger and cuddler who is…

  • Caring
  • Kind
  • Positive
  • Funny
  • Loving
  • Comforting
  • Supportive and stable

She was a teacher before becoming a stay-at-home mom with our son. She currently works part-time in his preschool class. She has her Master’s degree in teaching English as a second language. She loves getting to know people and spending time with others. Her family and friends are very important to her. Heather loves Jesus and is passionate about instilling a love for Him into our son and future child. She likes to stay active and be outside any chance she can. Heather cannot wait to be a mom again and looks forward to sharing everyday life with our children. She’s excited to play, read, and cook with them, go to stores, do new activities, and watch movies together.

  • Our Home in Pennsylvania

We consider where we live to be semi-country and semi-suburban because people and activities are nearby. Still, we have farm animals and rolling green hills. We live in a culturally diverse area on an acre and a half of land in a two-story, three-bedroom home.

We have a bedroom ready to be used for our future child; he/she will have a beautiful view of our backyard. Our front yard is partially wooded with an open backyard, a large playground, a swimming pool, a hot tub, goats, chickens, and lots of space to play sports and run around. Inside the house we have a playroom that has a swing and trampoline, so we have a safe space to play on those rainy or too cold to go outside days.

    Our Family

    Our four-year-old son loves:

  • all kinds of creatures (mostly reptiles–we definitely see a bearded dragon in our near future)
  • Hot wheels/monster trucks
  • superheroes
  • playing outside
  • music

He is very outgoing, smart, and loves to make people laugh. As of right now, he wants to be a Zoologist. He is SO excited to be a big brother and prays every night for his new sibling.

Heather’s family consists of her brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew, dad, stepmom, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. We hang out with her family often. Her brother’s family and parents live close by, and we get the cousins together every Thursday afternoon by going to a local garden that we are members of. We have Sunday family dinners at her parents’ house, and we get together every other month to celebrate birthdays and holidays with her extended family.

Nolan’s family mainly lives in Michigan and consists of his mom, dad and stepmom, three sisters, three nieces and two nephews, and a brother who lives in Arizona. We love every opportunity we get to spend together and visit them at least once a year for a week. Nolan’s mom visits our house frequently throughout the year. We talk often throughout the month and consider them close even though we live further away.

Our families cannot wait to welcome home a child. Nolan’s mom wants to come and help out, while Heather’s parents are excited for more family dinner fun and cousin sleepovers at their house. Nolan’s dad and stepmom are already thinking of how they can spoil them!

  • Our Promise

We promise to love your child with every ounce of our being and to provide them with a safe, secure, and stable family life. We promise to teach them God’s words and to raise them knowing how loved and cherished they are. We promise to be open with them regarding their adoption and allow them to talk with us about anything that is on their heart and mind.

We want them to feel safe and know they can talk to us about anything and everything. We promise to engage them in their ethnic heritage, so they grow up secure in their sense of self. We promise to be there for you, their birth family, with whatever comfort level you choose in the openness of adoption.  We promise to pray for you and love you because you are a part of our child.  Thank you for taking the time to learn about us.

If you would like to get to know us more, we’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

    Our Faith

Our faith is very important to us, and we put Jesus at the center of our lives. We strive to love God, love others, and love our community in a way that reflects Christ’s love for us. We are active in our church with both of us teaching Sunday school. Nolan will, at times, fill in and share a part of God’s word and upcoming events during church worship time. Our church is a very small, tight-knit group where we really feel like family and often hang out outside of Sunday mornings. We promise to teach, pray, and provide a safe, welcome space for questions from our children.

    Our Community

We are within an hour's drive of the mountains and city life and an hour and a half from the beach, giving us many exploration opportunities. We have an active community that offers many things to do for all ages such as hiking in state parks, lakes for swimming and boating, museums, and local restaurants and shops. We are part of the YMCA, which offers countless activities for youth. Our church is a two-minute drive down the road, with our church family living close to one another. Our schools are excellent and provide many opportunities as our children grow.

    Weekends With Us

Summer- Going to the beach, swimming, hiking, biking, visiting local creameries for ice cream (there are a lot here and we LOVE ice cream), having bonfires, camping, vacations, gardening (our son has a strawberry patch and fruit trees). We love to walk around the yard, picking and eating from what we grow.

Spring- Gardening, being out in the woods and exploring, finding creatures (our son loves to find bugs and any animal, really), anything outdoors!!

Fall- Festivals, hayrides, corn mazes, pumpkin decorating, hikes, going to places for beautiful views of the leaves changing colors, getting in the holiday spirit with decorating.

Winter- Christmas events, sledding, movies, playing in the snow, indoor play places, indoor museums, visiting with friends and family.
