Watch Our Video
Hello, and thank you so much for being here. We are Nolan and Heather from Pennsylvania, and we are truly grateful that you are taking the time to learn about our family.
We have been married for eighteen years and love sharing life together—whether that’s working on projects around our home, hiking new places (especially those with waterfalls), or enjoying meaningful time with family and friends. Building a life filled with love, laughter, and togetherness is very important to us.
Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts. After years of infertility, we adopted our son in 2020 and becoming parents through adoption has been the greatest blessing of our lives. Watching our son grow has deepened our gratitude for his birth family and strengthened our hope to grow our family again through adoption.
We understand that this journey may feel overwhelming, and we want you to know that we approach adoption with respect, compassion, and openness. We would be honored to get to know you and are committed to maintaining contact at whatever level feels most comfortable for you—now and in the years to come.
About Us
Together, we truly enjoy doing life side by side. We love hiking or biking a new trail, taking in scenic views, gardening, and dreaming up projects for our small hobby farm. We also love playing video games together…anything Mario!! Spending time outdoors and creating a home filled with laughter, faith, and connection is very important to us.
During the week, we value simple rhythms that keep us grounded as a family—sharing dinner together every night, spending time with family and friends, and being actively involved in our church. Weekends are often filled with exploring new places, outdoor adventures, and quality time together.
Animals are a big part of our lives. If it were up to Heather, we would have a full petting zoo! Currently, our family includes two dogs, five goats, a bearded dragon, and chickens. We also have a large garden and fruit trees, and we enjoy growing and eating fresh food together. While we value healthy living, we definitely make room for sweets too.
Family is incredibly important to us. Our siblings and extended family are very involved in our lives, and we look forward to our children growing up with close relationships and shared traditions. Our son’s adoption has been a beautiful part of our story, and we believe having siblings who share adoption as part of their journey will be a meaningful bond for them.
About Nolan
Heather says: Nolan is truly the steady foundation of our family. He is a jack of all trades who can fix just about anything, and he has a natural ability to teach others with patience and kindness. In the nearly two decades we’ve been together, I’ve only heard him raise his voice twice—his calm, gentle nature is one of the things I admire most about him.
Nolan works as a mechanic during the week, and after work he loves coming home to spend time with our family, reading on the couch, and being fully present with us. Watching his face light up when he sees our son at the end of the day is one of my favorite sights.
Nolan is a loving, dependable father who provides security, encouragement, and consistency. He looks forward to teaching our children biblical values, practical skills like building and using tools, and being someone they can always trust and rely on.
About Heather
Nolan Says: Heather has a warm, bubbly personality and a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome. She is kind, optimistic, and always finds joy in the everyday moments. She is a wonderful, attentive mother who loves creating meaningful memories for our family.
Heather was a teacher before becoming a stay-at-home mom and now works part-time in our son’s preschool classroom. She recently earned her master’s degree in teaching English as a Second Language. She loves learning, connecting with others, and being involved in our community. Family and friendships are very important to her, and she brings people together naturally.
She enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, and being fully present with our family. She is so excited to become a mom again and looks forward to sharing everyday moments—playing, reading, cooking, trying new activities, and simply enjoying life together.
Our Home in Pennsylvania
Our home is located in Pennsylvania in an area that feels both semi-country and semi-suburban. While shops and activities are nearby, we enjoy rolling green hills, farm animals, and open space. We live on an acre and a half of land in a two-story, three-bedroom home within a culturally diverse community.
We have a bedroom ready for our future child with a beautiful view of our backyard. Outside there is plenty of space to play, including a playground, swimming pool, hot tub, and lots of room to run and explore alongside our goats and chickens. Inside, we have a playroom with a swing and trampoline—perfect for rainy or cold days.
Our Family
Our son, Isaias, is five years old and full of personality. He loves Hot Wheels and monster trucks, superheroes, being outside, and music. He has a deep love for animals—especially reptiles—and recently received a bearded dragon for his birthday, which he adores. He is outgoing, thoughtful, and loves making people laugh. Right now, he dreams of becoming a zoologist. Isaias is so excited to be a big brother and prays every night for a sibling.
Our Extended Families are so excited to welcome another child into their lives. Heather’s family lives here in Pennsylvania, and we often spend time with them throughout the week. Her parents are a huge help and love making memories with their grandchildren. Heather has a large extended family that gets together often. Nolan’s family lives in Michigan, but we talk with them often and visit each other’s homes throughout the year. His mom comes to our house every few months to visit, while his dad and stepmom spoil our son every time they are with him. They have even been known to have surprise visits!
Our Promise
We promise to love your child unconditionally and to provide them with a safe, stable, and nurturing home. We promise to raise them, knowing how deeply loved and cherished they are, and to be open and honest with them about their adoption story.
We promise to encourage open communication and to always be a safe place for their questions, thoughts, and feelings. We are committed to honoring and embracing their ethnic heritage so they grow up secure in who they are.
We also promise to respect and value you as an important part of our child’s life. We are open to maintaining a relationship with you at whatever level feels most comfortable for you. We will pray for you, support you, and always speak of you with love and gratitude.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. If you would like to get to know us more, we’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.
