Hello from sunny Texas! We’re Patrick and Heather. We are family-oriented and gatherings are common with us. We love family activities like cooking, backyard BBQs, and just hanging out as a family. Come along and let us introduce you to our way of life. We’re looking forward to raising a child surrounded by love, guidance and faith.
About Us
We love to laugh and joke around and just have fun with life. We have been married for 7 years after meeting through a mutual friend. For medical reasons, Heather is unable to have biological children. We are excited to grow our family through adoption!
We both enjoy bowling in a league. We attend church weekly and participate in church activities. Our faith in God helps keep us grounded together. We look forward to raising a son together and teaching him about our faith.
We enjoy a date night once a month with dinner and a movie or finding an activity, like painting. We travel each year to Hawaii to visit Heather’s family and enjoy get-togethers with her extended family. We love movies and the occasional binge watching tv series.
One of the most precious moments we are looking forward to with our future child is watching him take his first steps, and all the other “first” moments with him.
About Heather
According to Patrick: Heather was born and raised in Hawaii, and family means so much to her. She comes from a large family where gatherings were almost weekly. Heather is so warm and inviting to be around. She always puts others before herself. What I love most about her is her passion for life and how she loves kids so well. She enjoys the many personalities of children.
Heather has been helping teach children for almost two decades. Her unwavering support to help kids learn has been a blessing for all the children she has come in contact with. Developing their young minds and helping them reach their highest potential is what she strives for each day.
Heather likes gardening and making crafts, like leis for graduating students. She loves bowling! Going to the beach is one of her favorite things to do; it’s a must when we travel to Hawaii each year.
About Patrick
Patrick is retired military and very hard working, knowledgeable, and dependable. He is sweet, thoughtful, and very organized.
Patrick enjoys bowling and yard work. He takes pride in taking care of our home and is always willing to lend a helping hand to others. He loves taking our dogs for walks in the evenings to the park. Patrick also likes woodworking and making new things from wood. He is very handy with tools and loves to watch videos on new projects and duplicates them.
He has three grown daughters from a previous relationship, and loves visiting them and taking them on dad/daughter dates. Patrick is a great father, always willing to teach his kids, even as adults. He never stops teaching and learning. He looks forward to teaching our son new things.
Our Family
Patrick has 3 adult daughters, and their personalities couldn’t be more different. Jamie is the chef of the family, as it’s her profession. She loves cooking and all things food. She is the go-getter of the family. Marabelle is the girlie girl and loves anything fashion related. She is a manager. Aliza is the studious one; she loves school. She has a 3-D art design degree and loves drawing and playing video games. We love spending time with our girls!
Heather’s mom and brother live in the same neighborhood as us, and we all hang out every day. Her brother has Cerebral Palsy, but never lets his disability hinder his activities. We go to the arcade often with her brother.
We are looking forward to sharing holidays with our families where we play games and enjoy being together with our future son. When we are all together, there is a lot of food and laughs. Everyone is excited to welcome our son into our family!
Our Home in Texas
We live in a primarily military community. We have a 4-bedroom ranch style home that is fully fenced, which is great for our 2 dogs. We have a large 1/2-acre backyard. Patrick’s mom lives with us, which is very convenient and a blessing as our future child will have a grandma in the same house. We already have a nursery that is partially set up, but we are waiting until we know more about our future son to decide on the rest of the decorating. We have all the necessary items he will need upon birth. Our home life is simple; we do and plan most things as a family unit, from food and meals to time outside the home.
We live in a country setting where deer run around and at nighttime you can hear the owls and other animals, and you can see the stars at night. Our favorite place in our home is the kitchen because it is our main gathering place. We do a lot of things in this area, especially when hosting family.
Our Promise
Raising a child takes a lot of commitment, and we are ready for this commitment. We promise to provide structure in a way that allows our son to be himself and to also be assured we are here for him, no matter what.
We will make every effort to give him the best education possible. Beginning with his most formidable years, his development is our priority. We will provide all the tools to help him be successful. We will encourage and support him to attend college or trade school. We want him to have the best options for his future.
We also promise that reading bedtime stories and playing educational games will be part of our daily routine. He will learn responsibility by having loving, consistent structure, clear rules, predictable routines and patient guidance when he struggles.
We promise to stay in contact with you as your child grows, if you desire. We are open to sharing photos through text/email, phone calls, and occasional visits, including family gatherings, at your comfort level.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Our Pets
We have 2 dogs--Kci and Malu. Malu is German Shepherd/Boxer mix and loves attention. He is the protector of the house. Kci is a Shih tzu/Poodle mix. Kci is a very loveable and intelligent dog. Our dogs love playing together outside. Both are good with kids, even small children.
Plans for Childcare
Since Patrick will be a stay-at-home dad, he will be with the baby majority of the time. Patrick is so excited to be a stay-at-home dad! He looks forward to getting to spend time with and caring for our son all day, while also creating structure and routines. He loves organization and will be great with our son. We will start with early learning activities as soon as our son is old enough. If there is ever a need for childcare, thankfully Patrick's mom is always available since she is retired and lives with us. Heather's mom is also retired and is excited to help out as needed also. We feel incredibly blessed to have our moms close by to help when needed.
Our Musical Interest
We love all kinds of music, especially reggae and island music of Hawaii. Music is part of our daily life. We both listen to it in the shower, while cleaning the house, or whatever we are doing.
Our Favorite Family Tradition
Every year for Christmas and New Years, we cook a lot of food and have family and friends over to enjoy fireworks the last day of the year. We like to include a lot of Hawaiian food, like Michiko chicken, and Heather makes the best macaroni salad. We also make a lot of Musabi, which is spam with rice wrapped in seaweed. It makes a great snack while you wait for the real food. The kids sing karaoke and play in the evenings, while the adults hang out and talk and eat some more. We light the fireplace on the patio and let the kids roast s'mores over the fire. It's a lot of fun!
In Closing
We are a fun-loving family that loves taking walks through flower gardens, going to downtown festivals, hiking and walking our furry friends. We appreciate your time and hope we have given you a glimpse of our way of life. If you'd like to learn more about us, please reach out to Lifetime to set up a call or video chat.
