Hello, from Patrick and Kalie, in beautiful West Virginia! We enjoy traveling together, evening walks, hosting friends and family in our home, serving at church, and listening to music. We believe that we should be honest, patient, and hard-working people. We are excited to grow our family through adoption. God has led us to this, and we are thrilled to see what happens. We look forward to having an open relationship and getting to know you. We want to learn what you see your baby’s future looking like. We hope that together we can build the future you see for your child!
About Us
We have been married for five years. We met at our church. Our spiritual relationship is the foundation of our family. We believe it is important to regularly attend church and volunteer with our church family. We want to instill these same desires in our child. We enjoy hiking, biking, and exploring new areas. Each time we travel, we explore the local bookstores and coffee shops. Many of our favorite memories were made during short weekend excursions exploring new places. We are excited to keep these traditions with our child and make new memories together.
About Kalie (from Patrick)
Kalie is a great homemaker. She enjoys cooking and trying new recipes – especially new sourdough treats. She enjoys hosting our family and friends for dinner and making food to take to others. She likes scheduling her week and ensures our weeks are properly planned in advance. She especially likes planning our vacations. She is a great teacher and is loved by her students. She is excited to use her talents to educate our child. Kalie also enjoys crafting, puzzling, reading, watching TV, and walking our dog, Bella. She likes to crochet and cross stitch. She is currently working on a blanket for our baby.
About Patrick (from Kalie)
My favorite quality about Patrick is that he uses his strengths to help others. He is a wonderful organizer and leader, and he takes on these roles both at his job and at church. Patrick is a hard worker and does everything to the best of his ability. He is a great handy man, and I am excited to see all the things he will teach our child. He fixes things around the house and remodels very well. Patrick is a wonderful spiritual leader and we take time together to pray, which he looks forward to doing with our child as well. Patrick enjoys playing the piano, hunting, fishing, reading, and hosting others in our home. He is a great listener and gives sound advice. I am confident he will be a great father and I can’t wait to see him in that role.
Our Family
We live near both our parents and siblings and see them often. We are confident that they will play an active role in caring for and nurturing our child. We plan to lean on them to help babysit our child when needed. We want our child to have the same fond memories of sleepovers with grandparents that we loved as children. Our families are excited we are adopting!
We also consider our church family to be an important aspect of our extended family. We believe that a strong church family is crucial to a child’s development. Our church family will give our child experience interacting with children their own age as well as adults who can be mentors in their life.
Our Home in West Virginia
We live in a two-story five-bedroom home that Patrick is always remodeling. Primarily, we are working to finish a lower-level remodel to make room for an upper-level nursery near our master bedroom. Our home is set up to easily host our family. Monthly, we also host a small group gathering of our church family. We especially enjoy our screened in porch for evening relaxing and Saturday morning coffee. We live in town with a nice fenced in backyard that is a great area for our dog, Bella, a Labrador/Great Dane mix. The backyard will also serve as a future play area for our children. We have quick access to multiple city parks. Our location in West Virginia affords us the opportunity to take short day trips to multiple state and national parks.
Our Promise
We promise to be the best version of ourselves to be a representative of Christ’s love towards your child. We promise to prioritize an open relationship with you, if you choose, knowing that it is important that you are involved in your child’s life. We believe the degree of openness of that relationship is something that you dictate. We promise to educate our child and urge them to follow their dreams. We promise to invest in our child’s future and instill in them strong family and spiritual values.

What Led Us To Adoption
Adoption is something we believe God called us to early in our relationship. Starting from our third date, we began discussing that adoption was the route that we wanted to pursue to grow our family. After four years of marriage, we knew it was time to begin our adoption journey. We sought out advice from church friends who had adopted internationally. Following their guidance and much research, we believed domestic adoption through Lifetime was the best fit for us. God has continued to guide our journey and we know He is going to grant us a successful adoption journey.
Hopes For Our Family's Future
We want to adopt 2-3 children. In a few years, we have also considered moving out of town to buy some property so that we would have more room to hunt, garden, and own horses. With Kalie being a stay-at-home mom and her education background, she is considering home-schooling our children.
3 Things On Our Bucket List
1. Travel to all 50 US states
2. Overnight stay under the northern lights
3. Cruise to Alaska
