Hi! We are PJ and Amber, and we are so excited to grow our family through adoption! We’re thankful you’re here.
Throughout our marriage we always knew that we wanted to grow our family, but have been on a long infertility journey. Very early on in our marriage God placed adoption on PJ’s heart, and later on Amber’s. We truly believe God is the orchestrater of all time and we are beyond elated to finally be starting this journey!

A Little About Us
Our Story: We are better together! We met over 10 years ago on eHarmony. At the time we lived 3 hours away from each other, but from the first coffee date PJ knew Amber was the one. PJ brought three amazing boys with him from a previous marriage (Jacob, Elijah, + Jordan) that Amber has had the honor of being a “Bonus Mom” to. Although 2 of the 3 boys are grown and adulting, we are all still very close and get together often.
Amber has a huge heart for telling people’s stories through her photography and capturing special moments for them. PJ has worked hard in sales for over 20 years and is currently working on finishing his degree in Biblical Studies to further his passion for bringing people closer to Christ. We both work from home and Amber’s schedule is extremely flexible, allowing her to be a stay-at-home Mom.
Our home is centered on our foundation in Christ. We are both very involved in serving our church and have built an amazing community there. We love to have fun, whether that be hanging out with our three amazing pups, playing games, or hanging out outside. We enjoy snow skiing as a family in the winter and spend most days on the lake boating in the summer with PJ’s sons, friends, or other family members. We love to travel and cruise and make memories. We are excited to add a daughter to our family!

PJ says: Amber is caring, joyful, and full of love, making her an amazing wife, mother, and friend. Her desire to make the people around her feel seen, valued, and special is what I love most about her. She has a heart for serving others, starting a small group at church and helping lead and encourage women in their faith. She uses her gifts well, especially through her photography. She makes time for family and friends and is great at creating meaningful moments and core memories for the people she loves. She brings warmth, laughter, music, and love into our home every day. She has an adventurous spirit, always ready to explore somewhere new or enjoy time by the water, and she makes life more fun for everyone around her. She is a wonderful example of kindness, grace, and love for our family.

About PJ
Amber says: PJ is truly one of a kind—funny, loving, and happy, making him an amazing father and husband. His determination to love his family well is what I love most about him. He is a hard worker and provides well for us. He makes time for family and is great at playing games with the kids (and grown kids now) and making core memories. As his sons have gotten older, it’s been so cool to watch him grow from favorite playmate to first phone call for advice. He always has a dad joke ready to keep us smiling and is a wonderful spiritual leader for our family.

Our Sons and Family
Our (PJ’s) Sons…
Jacob, our 26-year-old, is married to his beautiful wife and they recently had their first child. He serves our community as part of the Police Department, and we are beyond proud of him for the man that he has grown into.
Elijah, our 19-year-old, is a kind, loving soul who loves helping with different projects. He recently completed his certificate in trade to become a welder and is an international welder who comes home often for quality family time. He is one of the hardest working people you will ever meet, has a heart of gold, and doesn’t know when to stop telling jokes. We are beyond proud of him too!
Jordan, our 16-year-old, is a gentle soul who loves hanging out with friends and family. He is in all honors classes in his sophomore year of high school, very involved in our church youth group, and just started his first job. He enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, sports cars, Top Golf, snow skiing, wake boarding, and all 3 boys love playing video games together with their dad.
Extended Family: We cherish our close-knit extended family, enjoying holidays and spontaneous visits together. PJ’s parents live on the same 15 acres we do, so we are able to see them often. Amber’s family is in West Virginia, but we visit them and they visit us often as we are very close. They are a great support to us and are thrilled to welcome another child through adoption! We’re also blessed with a wonderful church family who are excited to love and spoil a new little one.
Our Home in Tennessee
We live in a spacious, open-plan, 3-bedroom home sitting on fifteen acres just outside the city limits. We are so excited to create a Mother Goose themed nursery to welcome the newest family member! Our yard is perfect for exploring nature and we enjoy a nice, long driveway for future riding scooters and bikes. Our dogs (Meeko, Merlin, and Rockefeller) are great with kids. We love visiting nearby friends and enjoy the local activities near us. We’re also close to a beautiful National Park we love to spend time exploring, Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Neyland Stadium, and water parks.

More About Our Family
Our Thoughts on Open Adoption
If you choose us as adoptive parents for your child, we want to be understanding and care for you well through this process. As she grows up, we are excited to share her adoption story with her. We will always speak highly and respectful of you. We are open to any type of communication that you are comfortable with whether that be occasional visits, photos, or emails/letters/texts. We are open to sharing with you in whatever capacity you desire.
Our Faith
The foundation of our faith is set on the trinity (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit) and the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe He is truly the way, the truth, and the life and those are the foundations that our home is set upon. We are very involved in our church community whether it be serving, being a part or leading small groups, or helping our community. Our hearts are to share the truth that we have found that has set us free.
Our Musical Interests
Music is something we both love! Amber grew up in a very musical family. There is always something playing or someone singing around the house. Most of the time we have worship music playing in our home. We also enjoy country, Americana, Classical, and the 90's/early 2000's as well.
Plans For Our Child’s Education
We want the best of what we can give to them! We have several private Christian schools we are in the process of looking through. We are also considering the option of homeschooling with a co-op, but desperately want them to have community, friends, and the opportunity to be active in sports or other extracurricular activities as they grow. We will provide a solid education for our child.
In Closing
