Thank you for taking the time to learn about us. We have built our life centered around faith, love, and family. We enjoy staying active, spending time outdoors, and being part of the football lifestyle through Ryan’s career. Through prayer and reflection, we’ve been led to adoption as the way we are meant to grow our family. We hope to provide a home full of love, faith, and joy, and we are so grateful for the chance to share a little of our story here with you.

About Us

We met in 2014 while in college. We got married in 2022 in Alabama in Abby’s hometown. Since then, we have enjoyed our marriage and learned to love each other more each day. We have dreamed of growing our family and are thrilled that God has pointed us in the direction of adoption.

We are Catholics and our Christian faith shapes the way we live. We will do all that we can to raise our child with the same Christian values of Faith, Love, and Sacrifice that we strive to apply to our daily lives. Church on Sundays and events at our church are very important in our family.

Both of us pride ourselves on working hard in everything we do. Ryan is a college football coach and Abby currently works as a Physical Therapist Assistant, but will become a stay-at-home mom whenever a child enters our home. We are very social people and love spending time with our great friends and families on weekends.

We love sports, food, and the outdoors. We live active lifestyles and are always ready to try new things. Whenever we have free time, we really enjoy traveling and exploring new places — whether it be a beach vacation, a trip to the mountains, or visiting a new city, we have found a ton of joy in our travels. We cannot wait for our child to join in on all of the adventures.

About Abby

According to Ryan: Abby is the kindest person I know. She gives all of herself to everyone, and is loving, reliable, and finds joy in all that she does. Abby takes such great care of our home and works hard to keep everyone happy.

Abby loves spending time with family and staying active. Whether it’s taking our dog for walks, traveling to new places, fitting in an Orangetheory workout, or hosting game night with friends and family, she loves activities that keep her moving and connected to the people she loves.

Abby has a strong faith and constantly brings me closer to God through her actions and reactions to every day life. She is full of life, and I truly believe that I am the luckiest man in the world to have her as my wife. She loves taking care of our friends’ children and our nieces and nephews. I cannot wait to see her raise a child. She will fill our child’s life with unconditional love and give everything of herself daily to make sure that our child is taken care of.

About Ryan

According to Abby: Ryan is a fun, loving, and strong man. He is definitely the “doer” out of the two of us. I love his drive and determination to always be the best version of himself that he can be. He works so hard to provide for our family and I am so grateful.

Ryan enjoys staying busy whether that be with work, home projects, or playing any kind of sport — especially golf or pickleball. He also loves traveling, grilling for family and friends, and finding time to relax with a good book.

There is no doubt in my mind that Ryan will be the best father to our child. Being able to watch him interact with our nieces and nephews and our friends’ children just melts my heart. He is wonderful with children of all ages, and they seem to gravitate towards his fun energy. I cannot wait to see him embrace his role as a father and share his love of sports, the outdoors, and history with our child.

Our Family

We are both blessed with very loving, supportive families. They cannot wait to meet our little one and shower them with love and affection. Ryan is from North Carolina where his parents and youngest brother still reside. He also has family in Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, and Colorado. Abby is from Alabama where her parents live, as well as one of her sisters and her family. She also has family in Georgia and Texas. With such a large family in so many places around the country, there is always somewhere fun to visit with plenty to do.

We love hosting our family here in West Virginia and both sets of our parents visit consistently. They have already let us know that once we have a child, they will visit us as frequently as possible and will be very involved in our child’s life. During football season, we stay very busy hosting family and friends on game weekends!

We are also very fortunate to have an amazing football community that has become like family to us. Through Ryan’s career, we have been surrounded by families who celebrate us, support us, and show up for one another. They may not be related by blood, but they have become some of our closest friends and a true part of our village. It means so much to us to know that our child will grow up surrounded by that same love, encouragement, and sense of belonging.

Our Home in West Virginia

Our 4-bedroom home is located in a safe, family-friendly neighborhood. We have a nice, spacious set up with plenty of room for our child to explore. All bedrooms are located on the top floor so our child can be close to us at night whenever they are ready to transition from our room to their nursery. We have a dining room and an open concept living room and kitchen on the main floor, and a large, finished basement filled with games and open space for play time. Our fenced in backyard overlooks the mountains and is complete with a deck and a patio area. The neighborhood streets are lined with sidewalks, there is a neighborhood pool, and we are walking distance from a playground and a lake. We are blessed with a wonderful neighborhood community with sweet families and children galore. On a nice day, you will find the sidewalks and streets filled with adults and children alike for some outdoor play.

Our Promise

Thank you for taking the time to read more about us and for considering us to be the adoptive parents of your child. We promise to raise your child in a stable and loving home. We promise to provide them with a good education, to support their dreams and desires, and to love them unconditionally. We promise to teach them about Jesus and we will make sure they know just how deeply loved they are. We are open to all forms of contact, whatever you are comfortable with. We cannot thank you enough for making this special decision and we want to value and honor that decision, always.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Dog

Miller is a black Labrador Retriever. He is very loving and gentle, and is great with people of all ages and other animals. Miller fits right into our active lifestyle and loves going on long walks in the neighborhood, especially down to the lake for a swim. We look forward to having him to love and protect our child.

Our Faith

Our Catholic faith is an important part of who we are and has been a source of strength, guidance, and hope throughout our lives. We are members of a Catholic church and look forward to one day having our child baptized in our parish. Catholicism is something we share with both of our families, and it has shaped the values that are most important to us. We are also grateful to have close friends from different faith backgrounds who we can continuously learn from and grow with.

Plans For Childcare

We are very fortunate to be in a position where Abby can stay at home with our child. She is really looking forward to providing a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for our child. She is eager to provide her undivided attention to our child and accommodate all of their needs and interests.

3 Things We Love About Where We Live

1. The outdoors -- West Virginia has beautiful mountains with hiking trails and plenty of scenic views. We also live right by a lake where we can kayak, boat, fish, and swim.

2. The people -- We feel very fortunate to have a wonderful community. From our neighborhood and our work families to the people of the town, there are genuine and friendly people here.

3. Abundance of activities -- Living in a college town means there is always something to do. We love going to live sporting events and cheering on the team in whatever sport it may be. There are also many different festivals and other events at all times throughout the year.

In Closing

We can't wait to get to know and support you. We have a wonderful home and community of friends and family who provide overwhelming love and support to us. We will always appreciate and honor the choice you are making, and promise to provide a stable, joyful life where your child will thrive and know how deeply loved they are.
