GREETINGS FROM TEXAS!
Thank you for taking the time to read our profile. We are Sheldon and Yatosha, and have been married for twelve years. We are thrilled about this journey.
We enjoy doing anything as long as it is with family and those we love. We enjoy fishing, game nights, entertaining family, traveling, cooking and barbequing, and evenings on our deck or at the park.
As a couple, God and our family means everything to us. We value family and family values.
About Us
We met sixteen years ago in Houston and got married in 2013. Initially, we did not think it would ever turn into anything because Yatosha was in Texas, and Sheldon lived in South Carolina. However, he insisted on returning for a visit and from there he decided to relocate to Texas, and we have been together ever since. We enjoy doing several things: cooking, listening to music, fishing, traveling, family vacations, family gatherings, watching crime series tv, and game nights.
Experiencing several miscarriages was very difficult for us. We took some time to grieve and open our businesses. Now that time has passed, we have decided adoption is the way to grow our family. We are very excited about this journey. We have always wanted to expand our family. We hope to meet you, form a bond, and establish a line of open communication with you.
About Yatosha
I see myself as ambitious, dependable, consistent, honest, and dedicated. I’m also relaxed, calm, humble, optimistic, and have a good sense of humor, always looking for the positive in everything.
In my free time, I love relaxing on my deck, fishing, and finding new ways to enhance my home’s décor. I also love learning about history. I cherish quality time with my sisters, sharing laughter and memories. Traveling with my husband is a passion, along with game nights, visiting parks, and attending community events like carnivals and fairs. Sundays hold special meaning for me, as they’re reserved for church, family dinners, and football games.
I’m excited about creating traditions, witnessing first words, building family traditions, and watching our child’s personality develop.
About Sheldon
I stand firm in my faith. Values that I practice daily are honesty, gratitude, forgiveness, and respecting others.
I am described as a calm individual and am often referred to as a “gentle giant” by my wife. I am family-oriented and willing to assist others. Qualities that are commonly attributed to me include patience, diligence, kindness, and generosity. I grew up with three brothers and participated in athletics throughout school and college.
In my free time, I enjoy activities such as watching football, spending time outdoors with my wife, fishing, traveling, barbequing, walking, and learning golf. At my workplace, I serve as a mentor to young foster boys. I also travel home occasionally to visit with my brothers. Sundays typically involve attending church, having dinner, and watching football games with immediate and extended family.
I look forward to holiday celebrations, building a bond, and meeting our baby.
Our Family
Our immediate family consists of three, but we both come from large extended families. We have a 25-year-old son from Yatosha’s previous relationship who lives at home with us. He works as an administrative assistant in our family business and enjoys video games, spending time with family, and playing basketball. He plans to attend college soon.
Yatosha has three sisters and a brother; one sister lives in Alabama, another in Houston, and the rest of her family, including her parents, live in the same town as us. We are very close and love celebrating holidays together. Sheldon’s family is in South Carolina, and we typically fly there twice a year to visit. Our visits include visiting family while having a large cookout. His mom visits us once a year. His brothers are also planning a trip to the Lonestar state to visit us soon. The time we spend with both families includes cookouts and playing board games (we love Taboo!). We socialize, eat, laugh and have a good time together.
Our Home in Texas
Our home is a spacious, four-bedroom, country-style house on a golf course, offering plenty of room to grow our family. We live in a welcoming neighborhood where everyone looks out for one another and hosts monthly activities for kids. Both the elementary and high schools are within walking distance from our home. Across the street, there’s a walking trail and a baseball complex. The neighborhood park also features a pond for fishing.
Our Promise
We truly value your beliefs, values, and morals, along with your hopes for your child. We promise to keep open communication and share important moments in your child’s life with you via emails, calls, and texts. Our priority is to create a stable, loving, and nurturing environment for your baby, and your input will always mean so much to us.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

In Closing
Thank you so much for taking the time to learn about us. We are a very genuine, loving, Christian family who puts God first in everything that we do. We would like for you to know that we are not only hoping to become your baby's adoptive parents, but get to know you, the special birth mom who chose us to love her child forever. We hope that we can be there for one another during this process and after.
