Hello from sunny Texas! We are Stevie and Bridgid. We live a quiet and comfortable life centered around quality time with those we love. We spend our free time reading, making delicious food, hanging with our dogs, and exercising. We prioritize visiting our large families and take a long overseas vacation every year! We have always known we wanted to adopt and cannot wait for this next step. We would love to get to know you and share an open adoption that works for all of us!
About Us
We met working at a restaurant in 2014. According to Stevie, he fell in love at first sight. By 2015, Bridgid was on board and the love story blossomed. We got married in 2019 at the exact spot of our first meeting! We always knew adoption would be part of how we grew our family! We have always known we would like to adopt, and after struggles with infertility we know now is the perfect time. We dream of having a large family one day!
As a family we enjoy:
- Spending time with our extended families
- Cooking together
- Taking trips to our lake house
- Celebrating Christmas
- Reading bedtime stories
- Taking walks
- Picking figs from our fig tree (then making tasty treats)
- Going swimming
- Doing jigsaw puzzles
- Traveling the world
Meet Bridgid
According to Stevie: Bridgid is passionate about so many things in life. You can always find her with a book in hand or listening to an audio book. She has a huge collection of puzzles and enjoys the challenge of putting together 1000+ little pieces. Having met working in a restaurant, we bonded over a love of food. Her meatballs might be my favorite thing in the world. She loves the sun, so you can always find her outside soaking in the rays if the opportunity arises. That said, a rainy day is always a good excuse to cuddle up with a book, puzzle, or movie and order a pizza.
She is extremely caring. Our house feels like a home because of the warmth and love she has put into making it feel like welcoming, safe and cozy. She is very thoughtful and is always thinking about others. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and family. Above all, she is honest.
Bridgid is the most determined person I know. She is so excited to be a mom and cannot wait to share her love with a child, whether that is sharing her love of a good story or love for a slice of pizza. She will leave a child wanting for nothing and ensure they feel safe, valued, and heard.
Meet Stevie
According to Bridgid: Stevie is one of the kindest, generous, and trustworthy people on the planet. He has a large heart and so much capacity for love. Stevie has a close-knit circle of friends, and they call him the captain because he is always ready to plan the next adventure (golf, family dinners, swimming, etc.). He is sensitive and perceptive of people’s needs.
Stevie loves to cook, and spoils me by making me dinner almost every night. He is a master ice cream maker and gets creative with new flavors; my personal favorite is a combination of cookie dough and Oreos!
Stevie maintains relationships with friends near and far. Stevie is patient and even when things are stressful or chaotic, he offers a calm and balanced energy. On his days off, you can find him taking walks, going to the gym, or playing golf. Stevie is very sentimental; he loves to save keepsakes from special days and memories. He loves listening to music and has quite a large collection of vinyl records. Stevie will cherish the quality time spent with our growing family. He is an exceptional husband and I know he will be an extraordinary father.
Our Family
We are both from large families! Stevie is the youngest of 6 and Bridgid is the youngest of 5. We have 16 nieces and nephews whom we make time to see regularly. We have family that lives close to us in Texas, but also family in California and Pennsylvania. We cherish quality time with our families. We spend time together playing games, cooking, and chatting, all while laughing up a storm. We have both been blessed by supportive parents who gave us a loving and safe upbringing. We hope to expand our family and provide all of the bounty that we were fortunate to have. Our families are supportive of our adoption journey and overjoyed to welcome a new family member through adoption.
Our Home in Texas
We have a beautiful red brick 3-bedroom home with a large screened in porch, a fig tree, and a small pool in a big backyard. We love our neighborhood because it is perfect for riding bikes and taking walks. We have two cuddly and friendly dogs, Jolene and Patsy. We have lots of young families around us and we are close to parks, pools, and excellent schools. Our home is cozy and inviting. We are just a short drive away from the ballet, musicals, and other community events. We always have music playing in our home and something yummy cooking in the oven.
Our Promise
We promise to provide a loving, supportive home for your child. We will cultivate your child’s creativity, sense of self, and passion for learning. We commit to building a relationship with you, without whom our dreams of becoming parents would not be possible. We look forward to watching our child grow into their own unique person and seeing the awe and joy from all that life has to offer. We promise to share our faith with our child in our home and make sure they know and have a connection with you, if you desire. We eagerly await a chance to get to become parents!
