Hi! Our lives are built on family, faith, teamwork, trust, and laughter. As parents, it’s important to us to teach our children accountability, independence, and self-worth. We genuinely enjoy time together as a family, making memories and experiencing new things. Our goal has always been to raise our kids so that one day, when they are grown, they will cherish their childhood memories and have a strong bond with us and their siblings. It’s our hope to grow our family and share all that we are, and all that we have, with a child who joins our family through adoption.

It means so much to be considered as adoptive parents for your child. Adoption is already close to our hearts because one of Tanner’s sisters was adopted. We have dreamed of adding another child to our lives and feel called to adopt. We’d love to learn more about you and your little one!

A Little About Us

We met when we worked at a Blockbuster together (throwback!). The first time we met was very short, but we both walked away believing in love at first sight. Through more than 13 years of marriage, we’ve grown a lot, and grown closer than ever. Being parents has been our favorite adventure together! We always imagined our family would one day have 4 children, so we’re excited about being in this process to adopt a child.

As a couple we enjoy:
• Playing the card game, Canasta (like Alexa’s parents and grandparents!)
• Finding challenging recipes to cook or bake together
• DIY and home improvement projects

About Alexa

Tanner says: Alexa is kind, thoughtful, and protective of our family and our connection as a couple. She values communication, honesty, and encouraging each of us to be the best version of ourselves. Alexa is also organized and a great planner for us; she makes sure all the little moments we share are just as magical as the big holidays or special occasions. My wife is an incredible mom who makes us all feel loved and supported.

Alexa’s interests:
• Reading (especially history mysteries)
• Cross stitch and knitting
• Yoga
• Taking walks
• Planning our family trips
• Playing piano

About Tanner

Alexa says: Tanner is honest, dedicated, and a devoted husband and father. He is thoughtful and intentional with us. Tanner is a steady leader for our family who always puts us above himself. My husband is also very easy-going and logical. He’s a smart and caring problem solver who loves making people’s dreams become reality. Tanner is there for us in every way possible.

Tanner’s interests:
• Trying new designs with my 3-D printer that my kids will enjoy
• Technology and computer coding
• Playing online games with his brothers
• News and politics
• Playing the piano and trumpet
• Pool maintenance

Family Life

We have three wonderful children, Paxton, Oliver, and Elena. Our oldest son, Paxton, is 10 years old, thoughtful, kind, a quiet and stable leader, smart, sensitive, patient, curious, and inclusive. He enjoys Lego, drawing, making people laugh, and reading. Our younger son, Oliver, is 8 years old, passionate, proud, protective of his siblings, the life of the party, wild and funny, compassionate, helpful, and clever. He also loves Lego and reading, along with dinosaurs and cars. Our daughter, Elena, is 5 years old, fierce, a fearless leader, positive, flexible, friendly, affectionate, understanding, and caring. She’s into jewelry, baby dolls, books, Play-doh, drawing, and taking care of others.

We encourage all of our kids to be their own unique individuals, supporting their interests whether it’s at home, school, or extra activities like mixed martial arts or dance. Our children know we are a family who loves and cares for each other through anything. Day-to-day life is busy in the best ways! We love to do things together and can even turn everyday tasks into team building fun.

Our Home in Texas

We live in Southeast Texas just a couple hours from the beach. There are several Saturday markets with local businesses that we enjoy exploring on the weekend. We have great schools and a family-oriented community where the kids walk to school and are always outside playing or biking. The elementary school is only a block from our house, and there are two playgrounds withing walking distance as well. It’s an older neighborhood with big trees and beautiful flowers in the spring. Plus, Halloween and trick-or-treating is big here and the neighbors all get into decorating and making it fun and safe for the kids.

Our two-story home is cozy and comfortable with a pool and spa in the backyard. We love to have people over and host get-togethers here! There are 5 bedrooms, one of which is ready to become our future child’s bedroom. We look forward to decorating this special room when we know more about the child we will be chosen to adopt.

Heartfelt Thoughts

Thank you for considering our family as you make plans for your child. We believe our role as parents is our most important calling and family is everything to us. We would take the trust you put in us seriously and honor our promise to you, and to your child. We promise to love this child with our whole hearts, to protect and advocate for his or her best interest always. We promise to give your child a life full of support, love, opportunities, fun experiences, education, and travel. We are proud to encourage each of our children to be themselves and to provide what they need to pursue their goals and dreams.

To us, open adoption can be a positive thing for all involved. We’d be happy to keep in touch with you and would love to talk about what you think that could look like, such as occasional visits, or sharing emails and photos. We promise your child will grow up knowing his or her story and how much you mean to us. They will know they are loved on all sides. We would be honored to welcome your child into our family, and to have the chance to learn more about you through this process. We want only the best for your child and hope that you find peace in the decision you make for your child.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

Extended Family

Our families live about 8 hours away in the same area, so when we visit, we get to see everyone. The kids are close to their grandparents on both sides. The holidays often bring our loved ones down to see us too. We all keep in touch with texts, calls, and Facetime, so even long-distance, we stay connected and close. When we’re all together, we enjoy shopping, playing games, or cooking a meal for all of us. Our whole family is excited and supportive about our hopes to adopt.

Fun Facts

Tanner: I enjoy dreaming of business ideas that I could start with my friends who also enjoy tech and coding. I also love puzzles and taking time to figure out how to put things together properly.
