Watch Our Video

Hello! We are Lindsey and Taylor from Nebraska, and are excited to become first-time parents. We love spending time at the zoo where Taylor works, walking our sweet dog, Maddie, taking family vacations, and spending time outdoors.

We hope that you will get a good sense of who we are through our stories and pictures. We look forward to getting to know you better and learning more about your hopes for your child’s future.

About Us

We met in college as new student orientation leaders and stayed close friends through graduate training. In our final years of school, Lindsey asked Taylor to a friend’s wedding and we have been together ever since. We feel lucky to have lived in some wonderful cities across the US in the first years of our marriage during Taylor’s veterinary training. We have been married for 8 years and are thrilled to be back in the Midwest where both of our families are just a short drive away. Taylor has 3 adopted siblings that he grew up with, and we have always talked about growing our family through adoption.

We are looking forward to sharing the little everyday moments with a child and witnessing their growth and personality bloom. We hope to share our passions and interests with our child. Above all, we would love to instill values of faith and compassion.

Meet Taylor (by Lindsey)

Taylor is a veterinarian at our local zoo and aquarium. He has a contagious passion for animals and conservation.

Things I love about Taylor:

  • His spontaneity
  • His playfulness
  • He cares deeply for everyone he meets and is excellent at keeping in touch
  • His sense of humor

Taylor’s Hobbies

  • Hosting friends and family – Taylor has the gift of hospitality; he is eager to host friends and family for dinner and a bonfire.
  • Traveling – He is in his element exploring new countries and serving the people and animals that call each place home.
  • Playing and watching sports – You can find Taylor rooting on his favorite college sports teams and shooting hoops at the gym.
  • Farming – Taylor grew up farming with his brother. We enjoy getting away from the city occasionally to help with harvest, checking up on the animals, and fixing things on the farm.

Taylor is looking forward to teaching our child how to play sports and sharing his love for nature.

Meet Lindsey (by Taylor)

Lindsey works as a Speech-Language Pathologist at a local hospital. Lindsey is kind, compassionate, and if anyone needs a helping hand, she will be the first one to step in.

Things I love about Lindsey:

  • Her kindness and compassion for others; she pours her heart into caring for family, friends, and her patients.
  • Her patience and ability to forgive
  • Her love of animals
  • Her baking!

Lindsey’s Hobbies/Interests

  • Animals – We have a shared love of animals. You can typically find Lindsey walking our dog or snuggled up next to our dog with a good book.
  • Cooking – Lindsey is an amazing baker and enjoys creating new desserts and recipes for our family to try.
  • Games – Lindsey enjoys playing board games and doing puzzles with our family and friends. She is always at the center of planning activities/games for our family. She loves how games bring everyone together.
  • Gardening – She grows a pumpkin patch every fall in time for our Halloween pumpkin carving party.

Lindsey is looking forward to reading with our child and teaching them how to cook.

Our Home in Nebraska

We live in a family-friendly and quiet neighborhood in a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac and backs up to a peaceful green space. We enjoy all the wildlife each season. Our house has 5 bedrooms and is over 4,000 square feet. At night, you will often find us hosting friends and family on our back porch roasting marshmallows. We live just minutes away from our parish, about 20 minutes from downtown, and a short walk away from several parks in our neighborhood.

Our Family

We enjoy living in the Midwest close to both of our families. Our Nebraska family consists of Taylor’s parents, his 5 siblings, and our 16 nieces and nephews. Out of 5 siblings, 3 of Taylor’s siblings were adopted as infants or young children. Lindsey’s parents, her brother and sister-in-law, and our 2 nephews are only a few hours away.

With such a large immediate and extended family, we love celebrating holidays, birthdays, and events together. We spend time with family during the holidays and tend to travel back home to the family farm in Nebraska often and enjoy being back for harvest and the county fair.

Our nieces and nephews are very active in sports, horse shows, and school activities; we often spend weekends cheering them on. We like to think that we are the favorite uncle and aunt as they all love visiting us at the zoo and wildlife safari park where Taylor works.

Our family is very excited that we have chosen to adopt, especially our nieces and nephews. Our parents look forward to celebrating new grandchildren and can’t wait to share family traditions and shower them with love.

Our Promise

We are excited to be parents and we know your child would become our priority. We will provide them with opportunities to learn and have a good education. We will cherish and protect your child, encourage them to build their own sense of identity, and support them to become the person they are meant to be. We will be by their side to support their journey through life.

We are open to sharing updates and future contact with you, at your comfort level. We are looking forward to getting to know you and will be happy to answer any questions you may have. We want our children to know their full life story. We believe a child can never have too many people to love them and to help them grow.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

What Parenthood Means to Us

As parents, we know we won't be perfect, but we will:
-Lead by example in our faith.
-Teach forgiveness.
-Help our child develop their identity through support and listening.
-Model respect for others and self.
-Be flexible and fun.
-Always be there for our children and be the support they need.
-Show unconditional love.

What's Important to Us as Parents

We are Catholic Christians and want our children to know they are fully loved by us and by God. We pray daily as a couple and we hope to be an example of Christ’s love to our child(ren). It is important to us that we give them the opportunity and grace to explore their own faith journey and develop their own relationship with God. We will love and support them always.

Fun Facts About Us

We love to attend all types of sporting events, including college football, hockey, pro-volleyball, and baseball at the College World Series in town. We also have a love for musicals and attending concerts. If Jason Isbell (Lindsey) or Gary Allen (Taylor) come to town, you better believe we will be in the crowd! We also love to dance and will be the first couple on the dance floor, if given the chance.

We look forward to sharing our love of music and sports with our child and having family dance parties.

Our Dog

We love animals, but our favorite is our dog! Maddie Moose is our 2-year-old Great Dane. She is a big dog, with a big heart and one of the sweetest personalities. She is a fan favorite of all our nieces and nephews, no matter their age.

In Closing

We promise to love your child unconditionally. You would always hold a special place in our hearts and your child will always know about you and their adoption story. We will honor an open adoption if you’d like to have a relationship with us. We are happy to answer any questions and look forward to getting to know you.
