Watch Our Video

Hi! We are Taylor & Whitney from Tennessee and are so excited for you to get to know more about us. We love living in a state with four seasons and such beautiful outdoors. We cannot wait to share all we love about Tennessee and so much more with our child. We would love to get to know you and share an open adoption at a level you are comfortable with.

About Us

We first met during our first year of medical school in 2015. We became best friends, started dating a couple years later, and eventually married in 2019. We knew that we both wanted to have a family, and even discussed our desire to adopt during our engagement many years ago. After several years of unexplained infertility, God has made it abundantly clear that adoption is our next step to becoming parents and starting our family! We trust in Him and have been prayerfully, intentionally, and very eagerly awaiting our son or daughter!

We both derive so much joy from our work as physicians, but spending time together is most important. We both come from large families and are so eager to fill our home with lots of noises and laughter. We have so much we want to share with our children. We love the outdoors, especially hiking with our pups, playing in the creek, stargazing, and cooking around a campfire. We also love experimenting in the kitchen together and cooking new recipes, traveling to other countries (so far, Italy is our favorite!), and being with our families.

Whether we are enjoying a movie night, playing games, cheering on our Nashville Predators from the sidelines, or snuggled up together reading on the couch, we always have a good time.

Meet Taylor

In the words of Whitney: Taylor is the funniest, most sacrificial, and kindest person I know. He is a loving and attentive husband, and I know he will be an incredible father to our child.

The first thing I fell in love with about Taylor is his genuine love for the people around him. He is generous, quick to listen, and quick to forgive. He ensures that our home is always filled with peace, harmony, and tons of laughter. He likes to spend his free time working with his hands, either with projects around the house or leather working, cheering on the Nashville Predators, skateboarding, going on walks with our pups, and spending time with our friends and family.

He is an incredibly loving uncle to 13 nieces and nephews and whether it’s reading stories, playing out in the yard, building forts, or teaching them how to skateboard, Taylor will be an incredibly loving and very present father.

Meet Whitney

In the words of Taylor: Whitney is the most loving, generous, and intelligent person I know. From the moment we met it was apparent that she is always looking for opportunities to serve others and to let them know that they are loved. She is the youngest of 6 kids and has 10 nieces and nephews that she loves with all her heart. You don’t have to know her long to realize how much love she has to give and to know that she was created to be a mother.

She has a wonderful sense of humor and loves to laugh. She gives the absolute best hugs that will turn any bad day around for you.  She is somehow able to be an amazing, compassionate OB/GYN, loving wife and friend, and make our house into a warm and loving home with ease. She is truly impressive.

In her spare time, she enjoys the sun and being outdoors with our pups, loves to read, and spend time with family.  She is always willing to spend the day with her nieces and nephews and loves taking them to the park, zoo, or other fun and exciting places, and looks forward to doing this with our child(ren) as well. She will be an amazing and loving mother, and I cannot wait to see her with our child.

Our Family

Whitney is the youngest of six kids. While her family lives in another state, we love our huge family get togethers for holidays and numerous family celebrations. Some of our favorite family traditions include game nights, car-ride sing-a-longs, dance parties, and working on a never ending list of home improvement projects together!

Taylor is the youngest of five siblings. His family lives in different cities across the state, but we see them as often as possible. We love being near our young nieces and nephews and watching them grow up. We often make memories together while playing make-believe in the woods behind the house or baking cookies from scratch in the kitchen.

We share our home with our two 4-year-old rescue pups, Olive & Penny. They are obsessed with sitting on your lap and giving you endless kisses. They are both amazing with kids and people and will make the best of friends with any new addition.

Both of our families are extremely supportive of us, and are thrilled that we are adopting. They are all so very excited to meet our future son or daughter!

Our Home in Tennessee

We live in a single-family home on a corner lot in a very energetic and warm neighborhood filled with young families. Our home has a beautiful private backyard that our pups love and is the perfect space for backyard barbecues. Now we cannot wait to use it to create new memories with our kids like drawing with sidewalk chalk or building forts.

Inside, our home has plenty of room to grow and create memories; this includes several cozy bedrooms. The heart of our home, however, is our kitchen and family room, where we spend most of our time. We both love just about any type of food and love cooking meals together and making homemade pecan pie (Taylor’s favorite!)

Our neighborhood has pools and beautiful parks within walking distance and is only a few blocks away from our church. We live 25 minutes outside the heart of downtown Nashville. We love being close enough to downtown to enjoy the live music, delicious food, or a hockey game, but far enough away to slow down and enjoy quieter nights with our community of friends and family.

Our Promise

Our promise to you is that we will love your child unconditionally and sacrificially. We will give them a home that is safe, encouraging, full of laughter, and allows them to feel seen. We will pray for them continuously, raise them to become who the Lord uniquely designed them to be, and cheer for them every step of the way! We promise to honor you and the loving sacrifice you made for them. They will grow up knowing their beautiful adoption story, and the love of God.

We are happy to share milestones with you through letters, emails, texts or occasional visits if you desire.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Faith

We believe that God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He sent his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. We believe that what the Bible says is true, and desire to live our lives according to what it says and speak those truths into our children as well. We are loved by God and believe that through the free gift of salvation, we can have a relationship with Him now & forever in Heaven!

A Typical Weekend With Us

After sleeping in, Taylor makes the coffee while Whitney cooks breakfast. We typically take our pups for a long and leisure walk or to the park and enjoy the sunshine. We catch up on laundry, go to the grocery store, and plan meals together for the next week. Before bed, we often curl up on the couch and watch a movie together.

Of course, some days are meant for staying home in your pajamas all day long!

Our Puppies, Olive and Penny

Olive and Penny are sisters from the same litter that we rescued from a shelter 4 years ago. They are so full of affection and love being involved in anything we are doing! They have so much energy and love to play, but have been around many children and babies and know how to be calm and are oh so sweet. They love being around people and other animals, playing fetch, and going on long family walks around the neighborhood.

Our Vocation

We have both been blessed to find so much joy in our calling as doctors. We have learned the value of hard work and perseverance through our years of school, training, and sacrifices made. Now we spend our days meeting the needs of others, which often leaves us feeling very fulfilled as well. Whitney especially loves serving women as an OBGYN during such an intimate time in their lives. Walking with them through the joy and, at times, the heartache that it brings is a tremendously special gift.

While we both love what we do, our desire to love our child far surpasses it. We are so excited to discover their unique passions and support them in pursuing their own dreams.

In Closing

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We are so honored that you are considering us to love and support your child as they grow. We will teach them about Jesus, help them pursue their dreams, and love them unconditionally. We are so excited about open adoption and are happy to communicate with you in any way that you are most comfortable with. We are praying for you, and hope to hear from you soon!
