We are Tim and Autumn, and we live in a national forest suburb on the east coast of North Carolina. We have been married for 10 years and were blessed to adopt our son almost two years ago. We have always dreamed of a home filled with the pitter patter of many tiny feet coming down the halls. We value family, faith, education, and experiences through exploration, whether that means beach days, forest walks, mountain views, or working with our hands. We currently have an open adoption with our son, Weston. We welcome an open adoption with you, if that is your desire. We will respect and uphold your decision. We have been praying for you, and hope you find comfort as we show you a little about us.
About Us
We met through mutual friends and fell for one another quickly. We were married about two years later. Having a family was something we always wanted and talked about many times. It was very early on we knew having a biological child wasn’t going to be an option for us. We immediately started discussing adoption and the joys that it would bring not only to us, but to a precious child.
In 2022 we were blessed to adopt our son, Weston. Now we are hoping to grow our family again!
We love being outdoors; we try to take a trip to the mountains every so often and hike as many trails as we can. We enjoy spending a lot of time with local family and friends.
Our home is also shared with 3 rescue pups, Brooke, Bella, and Boone. They love new people and snuggling anyone who gives them attention.
About Autumn
According to Timothy: When I first met Autumn, I couldn’t have even imagined just how strong, generous, creative, and caring she really is. In 2019 she started her own small business from home in addition to working full time at a child development center. She has since continued her small business as she takes care of our son, Weston, full-time now at home. She loves spending time with Weston, working in her craft room, photography, and making sure everyone she loves is taken care of.
She demonstrates every day her immense generosity and caring nature, and passes that onto our son. She models what an amazing mother looks like as she guides our child through life, supporting him and giving our family every piece of her to ensure we are whole, and is able to capture it all in pictures and memories. She looks forward to sharing these things with our next child as well.
About Tim
According to Autumn: Tim has been in the Marine Corps for over 15 years as a Flight Engineer and has flown all over the world. He enjoys hunting, fishing, mechanics, and carpentry. He built our entire back deck, porch swing included, and many more things around our home, making it more admiring.
Tim is the most hardworking, carefree, and selfless person I know. The dedication he puts into his job, and then comes home every day ready to explore outside with our son or build forts in the living room, is indescribable. I know our son has a wonderful father to look up to and without a doubt will always have his dad to be there for him.
Tim has so many amazing qualities to share with another child: nurturing them, guiding them through life, and helping them become a strong and loving person. He puts so much love into our family; I couldn’t ask for a better partner in life or father to our children. Tim is excited to share all these life skills with another child, and watching them grow into all they can be.
Our Home in North Carolina
Our two-story home is located in a wonderful little subdivision in North Carolina on a cul-de-sac. We purchased this home in 2019 and have done quite a few changes to make it feel cozy and more like home. Our home is located a few minutes from a quiet river and plenty of nice trails that we explore often, and a few hours from the mountains where we vacation. We also have a few different brand-new parks, libraries , indoor activity gyms and an aquarium not far from our home.
Our large fenced in backyard is perfect to run and play with plenty of space for games and a swing set. The new deck Tim built has plenty of space to sit in the shade or relax on the porch swing.
We also have a room not far from the master bedroom that we have completely remodeled and is all ready for the next little one.
Family Life
Family is the most important thing to both of us! We are both fortunate enough to have very large and loving families.
We both have family located all over the US that we get to visit pretty regularly. Tim has some family less than two hours away and Autumn’s parents live right down the road, and we see them very regularly. There is always lots of home cooked dinners or game nights, and of course, help from the grandparents whenever we need it.
Every other year we do a huge get-together at Tim’s family for Christmas. This is a holiday tradition that has gone on for years–days of baking, games, movies, and laughter. Every room in the house is filled with family members, smiles, and love.
Both of our families are extremely supportive of us and are thrilled that we are adopting again. There are so many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins patiently waiting to meet the next member of our family. Whenever our next child arrives, they will be surrounded by love and happiness from so many people.
Our Promise
We promise that we will love your child unconditionally with all our hearts, and to give them every opportunity to pursue their dreams and passions. We will help guide them through life and teach them to be a caring and respectful person. We promise to give them as many joys and experiences life can bring, raising them to know we will always be there for them and be their greatest supporters.
We promise to always talk highly of you and to share this story with them. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us a little and we hope to speak with you soon!
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.
With all our love,

More About Our Family
3 things we look forward to as parents (again)
1-Lying in bed on a lazy morning while tiny footsteps can be heard running down the hallway and jumping into our bed. We look forward to spending time together as a family, laughing and happy, slowing down to soak in everything we can.
2-All the moments where timelines are tight, the house is a mess, and almost nothing is going correctly. It’s times like this that help us to appreciate when everyone is laughing and help us learn to slow down.
3-The responsibility and excitement of raising another child: how they act, what they learn, and how they view the world.
Our plans for our children's education
We will show them and lead them to understand that a degree, of any level, can help unlock doors to their future, and trades can be fulfilling and help develop life skills. This culminates with knowing we can instill a sense of duty in their tasks, hard work, and a willingness to try new things. We have an array of educational examples in our immediate family, from doctorates to no college education before going into a trade, all of them successful. Tim’s military college benefits will be available to our children. We will support them in getting a traditional education, or if they wish to try a trade or another less traditional route, we will support them in that as well as they find what gives them the greatest level of happiness in life.
Our Hobbies
We have always enjoyed the outdoors; we believe a connection with nature and a healthy dose of time spent outside is one of the keys to happiness. We love to visit parks, go on nature hikes, play in the sand, and jump in puddles. We try to take a trip to the mountains every year and stay in a cabin, generally accompanied by one or two of our dogs who love bounding up and down the trail. When we aren’t staying in the mountains, we try to find new trails around the local area to hike. We also enjoy camping and visiting the beach, which is only a few minutes down the road.
Autumn has successfully started a small business and enjoys spending some of her time designing new products and coordinating production. Tim enjoys working with his hands, completing woodworking projects such as building our new deck and pergola, and working on our vehicles when necessary.
Extended Family & Traditions
The essence of family for us involves two facets. The first one includes us and our child(ren) sitting down to dinner every evening, enjoying warm summer evenings on the deck and running around the backyard, and lazy weekend mornings watching TV in our pajamas. The second side are those loud, chaotic, crazy, happy holidays in our extended families' homes filled with adults and kids, and lots of laughter. Colorful decorations surround some of the biggest feasts of food that we have all looked forward to since last year, or summer sun beating down as everyone takes turns through the sprinklers.
We are fortunate enough to have both of these. While our own immediate family values ensure the first side, our location and proximity to our families, and more importantly the bond we all share, ensures that those big holiday get togethers filled with love happen every year. Both of us have parents that live within two hours. Autumn has a sister-in-law with two nephews and a niece that are only a little older than our son, that plans on moving back to a city less than an hour from us. Tim has a sister and brother-in-law with two nephews that live less than two hours away. While Tim’s father lives several states away, he is recently retired and travels to see us and Tim’s sister about once a month. We all enjoy spending time together!
In Closing
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and taking a peek into our lives. If there is a limit to the amount of love and acceptance, we have to give to grow our family we haven’t reached it yet and cannot wait to share that with you and your child. We would love to get to know you and are open to sharing experiences in the future through pictures, messages, phone calls, and occasional visits, at your comfort level.
Thank you so much for considering us to adopt your child.
With all of the love we have,
Tim and Autumn
