Hello from Illinois!

We are a family filled with faith, high expectations, and endless possibilities. We love hard, pray hard, and laugh often. Our home thrives on love, laughter, and strong family values. We believe in keeping God first and praying about everything, trusting that faith guides each step of our journey.

We look forward to opening our hearts and home to a child to provide a stable, loving, and faith filled environment where they can flourish, be themselves and know they are deeply loved.

About Us

Our story began more than 15 years ago when we met as cordial friends. Over time, our friendship blossomed into a beautiful love story. Now we have been married for 5 years.

We share a deep love for education. Tremell is an educator who works with high school students with diverse needs, while Kiennesha is a kindergarten teacher who finds joy in nurturing young minds. Beyond the classroom, we love exploring new countries and cultures together, singing at the top of our lungs, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and laughing together until our sides hurt. Our home is filled with joy, faith, and a deep love for one another.

Together, we also serve in ministry. Tremell often officiates weddings for family and friends, and before each ceremony Kiennesha prays for the bride and groom. Serving together brings us great fulfillment and strengthens our bond as a couple.

One of our greatest hopes is to become parents and expand our family through adoption. We have always believed that family is built on love, not just biology. Adoption is a reflection of the love and grace God shows us — welcoming us into His family unconditionally. We desire to provide a safe, nurturing, faith-filled home where a child feels loved, valued, and supported daily.

Above all, we strive to keep God first in everything we do. Our Christian faith keeps us grounded, grateful, and hopeful — believing that one day, we will welcome a beautiful bundle of joy into our home and hearts.

About Kiennesha

I love shopping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. When on vacation I often try new adventures. One of my most memorable trips was riding in a submarine in Hawaii, where I had the chance to see beautiful marine life and breath-taking wonders of the ocean. I can’t wait to travel to other countries and states with our child.

I have been an educator for about twenty years. When I am not teaching, I enjoy taking long walks for exercise. I believe life must be celebrated and that we should count each day a blessing to share with the ones you love.

As early as I can remember, I have always wanted a big family; that’s why our adoption journey is important to me. My desire is to be a mother. I want to raise my children like I was–to love God, go after dreams, be respectful, kind, and apologetic when you are wrong.

About Tremell

I love breezy summer nights, swimming in the pool, slow walks, times of quiet reflection, reading, fishing, and good conversations. These are a few things I enjoy and try to incorporate in my life as often as I can. In addition to enjoying these things, my passion for life and service to others fuel me.

My desire to be a father is one of those passions that has influenced my life. It first began while watching how my own father would conduct himself in our home as a child. I would watch how he would wake every morning, go to work, and return home to his family, engaging us all in different ways and being there for us individually and collectively. Watching that gave me a sense of pride and joy in that one day I would have the opportunity to display the same enduring qualities to my children.

Our Family

We both come from large families. Tremell has 14 brothers and sisters and Kiennesha has two brothers and one sister. Together we have a large extended family that includes many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts who have given us support and love throughout our life’s journey.

In addition to our family, we have a host of friends that we consider family that support and love us as well. Family means everything to us and home reflects just that. We celebrate our family members’ accomplishments, from birthday parties to graduations. We believe in having a good time! On any given day you will hear laughter, friendly back and forth and cooky conversations happening that makes our house feel like a fun, cozy home.

Our Home

Our home is one filled with faith, love, and acceptance. We believe that creating a space for our family to be themselves is important and necessary. This cultivates and fosters an environment for growth and development of our true authentic selves. We prioritize prayer, love, and open communication daily to maintain a house of peace and one that will be just right for welcoming a precious child into it.

We live in a three-bedroom townhome in a wonderful community filled with caring neighbors and city workers — police officers, principals, teachers, and firefighters. It’s the kind of place where everyone looks out for one another, and children can play safely. We’re just a short walk away from local schools and only about half a mile from beautiful parks in both directions. Whether it’s taking an evening walk or playing a friendly game of pickle ball, we love spending time outdoors together. Our neighborhood is peaceful, family-oriented, and filled with the warmth and sense of community that we can’t wait to share with our child.

Our Promise

We promise to love your child unconditionally and to fill our home with laughter, warmth, and joy. Our days will be full of cooking meals together, sharing stories, singing along to our favorite songs, and creating memories that last a lifetime. We will provide a stable, nurturing, and faith-filled home where your child will always feel safe, supported, and deeply loved.

We also promise to keep open and honest communication with you, in whatever way feels most comfortable — whether through text messages, emails, or phone calls. We believe that staying connected in healthy and respectful ways helps a child grow with a strong sense of identity and belonging.

We will celebrate your child for exactly who they are and honor where they come from. Their story will always be cherished and spoken of with love and respect. As parents, we promise to be fully present — offering comfort when they need it, laughter when they least expect it, and unwavering love every step of the way. Our greatest hope is to give your child a life filled with faith, joy, and endless opportunities to grow and thrive.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.
