Greetings from Mississippi. We have been together for ten years and have been married for five. We live in a small, quiet town with our miniature Maltese, Paisley. We have known since before we married that we wanted to adopt and in 2023, God placed a calling on our hearts to begin the process. We cannot wait to get to know you better as we walk this road together. Please know that we admire you for making this decision. We would love to speak with you about becoming a part of you and your baby’s life.

About Us

While there are many things that we enjoy doing together, leading worship is truly our favorite thing to do as a couple. This is actually how we met. It is something that makes us feel very connected not only to each other, but also to God.

Other things that we love doing together as a couple are:

  • playing with our miniature Maltese, Paisley
  • attending college sporting events
  • hiking
  • playing board games and card games
  • spending time with family and friends

Adoption is something that we have talked about since before we got married. We have always believed that adoption is a true picture of God’s love for us in a living and breathing story. We believe that we have so much love to give not only to a child, but also to a birthmother, and we can’t wait to connect with you and become a part of the amazing story that God is writing through you.

More About Cassi

I have been a second-grade teacher for six years. Working with children has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I have always had a passion for advocating for students with disabilities. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a part-time fitness instructor. I teach various barre and cardio classes at a local gym 2-3 days a week.

When I am not working, I love to attend college sporting events with Trevor and other family and friends. I also love leading worship at our church and serving in our women’s ministry.

My Friends Describe Me As: Passionate, Caring, Gentle, and Goofy

Being a mom has been my heart’s desire for as long as I can remember; I was the little girl who always had a baby doll on her hip and the teenager who spent her free time babysitting.

Things I look forward to teaching my child: a love of reading, music, and whatever passion makes them happy, determination and what it looks like to work hard for something, and God’s love and how to build a relationship with Him.

More About Trevor

I have worked in the same company for thirteen years. I am currently a senior store manager, and I truly love what I do.

When I am not working, my hobbies consist of wood working, attending college sporting events with family and friends, and cooking. I currently serve as a deacon at our church, as well as lead worship each Sunday. I have been playing guitar since I was in junior high, and it has continued to be a big passion of mine.

My Friends Describe Me As: Patient, Selfless, Hilarious, and Outgoing

Things I look forward to teaching my child: how much they are loved and how to be loving toward others.

Our Extended Family

Spending time with family and friends is one of our favorite things to do. Whether it’s game night, a good meal, movie night, an at-home tailgate, or just a quiet night in, we love being surrounded by the ones we love.

Cassi’s mom lives just around the corner, so she is always around when we need her. She cannot wait to be “KK” to her first grandchild and will without a doubt spend as much time with our child as possible.

We are also very close to Trevor’s parents. Trevor’s dad is a pastor at a local church and his mom is a “stay at home D-Maw” so she will always be available to keep our child whenever needed. Trevor also has an older brother and younger sister that we love spending time with. Trevor’s brother has two children, our sweet niece and nephew. They cannot wait to meet their cousin and have lots of playdates.

In addition to our family, we have many close friends that have been very supportive of our hope to adopt and have helped us every step of the way.

Our Home in Mississippi

We live in a small town in Mississippi. Our town is always quiet and is often described by locals as a “Hallmark town.”  We live in a two-bedroom home in a small neighborhood. Our neighborhood has lots of children and will be a great place for a child to grow up. We have a nursery ready and waiting for our sweet little one. It is complete with a closet full of gender-neutral clothes, many books, and stuffed animals and blankets that have been gifted to us by our friends and family. We also have a screened-in back porch where we often relax with guests. We have a large fenced-in backyard. During the beautiful Mississippi spring, it is perfect for throwing the frisbee, grilling, playing corn hole and horseshoes, and practicing t-ball with our nephew. It will also be the perfect place for a swing set, treehouse, and everything in between.

Our Promise

We promise to love your child with everything we have and give our all each and every day to ensure that they are always safe, healthy, and loved. We promise to raise your child in the knowledge of the Lord and for them to always know that God has a specific plan for their life that has been written far before they were born. We, along with our family and friends, promise to love and support your child in every facet of life and to always be their biggest fan. We truly believe that every step that we have taken in life has brought us to this place so that we could become parents in this beautiful way. Should you choose us to become part of your story, we promise that your child will always know you and how your selfless love brought them to us. We truly believe that God writes a beautiful story through each family, and we cannot wait to become part of that story alongside you.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. Please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Plans for Childcare

Once our baby has arrived, Cassi will take a six week leave from her job while we are making the transition at home. Trevor will also be able to take as long as is needed during this time. Once we both return to work, our mothers will rotate days keeping the baby until we are comfortable with daycare, and then our child will go there. The church where we attend has a daycare that is run by our children's ministry. We are already on the waiting list and have been guaranteed that there is a place there for us when we are ready. We know many of the ladies that work at the daycare; they all have a genuine love for caring for babies and toddlers. Our baby will remain at this daycare until they are of age to go to school. Once they are school age, they will attend pre-school at a local school in our area and remain at that school for the years to come. Since Trevor's mom is a stay-at-home grandmother and Cassi's mom has a very flexible work schedule, one of them will always be available to pick them up from school. Neither of us work on Saturday or Sunday so those days will always be set aside for family time.

Our Faith

We are both Christians. We attend a local church; we actually met playing in our high school/college worship band. Ten years later, we still have a huge passion for sharing our love for Christ with others through music. It is in moments of true abandonment in worship that we feel the closest to the Lord as well as to each other. We enjoy studying the Bible with our friends during small group study each week as well as together during our family Bible studies. In addition to playing guitar in our sanctuary worship band, Trevor is a deacon at church and at times preaches when our pastor is out of town. In addition to leading worship on Sunday mornings, Cassi is a member of the choir, women's ministry, prayer ministry, and Operation Christmas Child committee.

Our faith is very important to us. We truly believe that God has called us to adopt, and we cannot wait to share all of the blessings that He has given us with our child.

Our Story (told by Cassi)

When I was 18, I were told that one of our church staff member's best friend would be joining our worship band. It didn't take me long to realize that he was definitely someone that I wanted to get to know. My mom had taught me since I was a little girl to pray for my future spouse (something I also intend to do with my son or daughter). I began wondering if this could be the person that I had been praying for all these years. One Sunday, we sang "I am Not Alone" during a service and he played the majority of the song in the wrong key, making singing very interesting. That night he texted me to apologize, and we talked until 1 am. A month later, he took me on our first date to a college baseball game and the rest is history. He's the answer to my every prayer and my perfect partner in life.

Things We Can't Wait to Share with Our Child

Since before we got married, we have known that we wanted to be parents. Over the last ten years, we have often discussed what we can't wait to share with a child. One thing we look forward to is quiet nights at home, laying on the couch as a family reading books and watching old school Disney movies. We are also both competitive when it comes to board games, so we can't wait to play Uno, Monopoly, Checkers, and every game in between. Family nights and at-home tailgates will also be a big part of our child's life. Going over to friends' houses and enjoying a good game and good food is a staple in our family. We also can't wait for family outings to places like the zoo and aquarium with our child. Our family has a cabin a few hours from our home; it has been passed down through 4 generations of fishing at the lake behind the cabin, ATV riding, and visits to the old fashion soda shop around the corner. Time with family there is something that we can't wait to share with our child.

In Closing

Thank you for taking time to get to know us. We would love to talk with you and get to know more about you. We truly honor your decision and would love to become part of the beautiful story that God is writing through you.
