Hello from Wisconsin! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us and we look forward to getting to know you. We’re so excited to grow our family through adoption again! Our promise to you is that we will provide your child with a life full of unconditional love, happiness, and fun memories. Our family enjoys being active outdoors, cooking together, and spending quality time at home. Open adoption is already a part of our family and we cherish the connection we have with our son’s birth mother. If you’d like, we are open to keeping in touch with you too, through pictures, letters, and visits.

About Us

We met each other 12 years ago around a campfire at a mutual friend’s home. Our first date lasted over four hours because we never wanted the conversation to end. We dated for 2 years before Tyler proposed while on vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park. We have been married for 9 years and are each other’s best friend. Since we’ve been married, we have dealt with infertility. Although this time was challenging and emotional, it made us stronger and opened our hearts to adoption. In 2019, we were blessed to adopt our son, Noah, and we’re so grateful his beautiful birth mother chose us to be his parents. We keep in touch with her to this day.

Together we enjoy:
• Cooking
• Hiking (we love to find new places to hike!)
• Doing home improvement projects
• Traveling (probably our favorite, whether it’s a day trip or longer vacation, camping in nature or exploring cities!)
• Saturday mornings at the Farmers Market or the park
• Afternoons at the zoo

We strive to create a healthy balance between an active and relaxing lifestyle. We are excited to bring another child into our family and into all the activities we do and traditions we have.

About Tyler... According to Kristen

Tyler is my best friend, a devoted father and family man. He works hard in his career in pharmaceutical research and development and enjoys managing large patient populations where he learns and understands their disease and hears their voice on what they need. Tyler has the added benefit of working from home and is active in the daily life of our son. During lunchtime, Tyler will make lunch for us, have a picnic with Noah and I or go to the park to play on the slides. Tyler is loyal, a great communicator, always curious, and intelligent. As a dad, he looks forward to sharing the great outdoors and traveling with our children, and to being active participant in their interests and hobbies.

Tyler enjoys:
• Camping
• Running
• Boating
• DIY, tinkering, woodwork and landscaping projects (Tyler’s very handy at fixing and building things!)

About Kristen... According to Tyler

Kristen is a humble and supportive wife and mother. (I honestly don’t know how she gets two days of things done in just 24 hours every day!) She loves working from home, managing risk for a financial firm, as this allows her to spend time with Noah during breaks and lunch. Kristen gets her relaxation from cooking and baking (lucky me!), and gets her energy from coming up with ways to educate and have fun with our son (lucky Noah!). My wife is a selfless do-er with a task list a mile long – yet she always has time to listen, laugh and love in all the most meaningful ways. As a mom, Kristen gets excited about the everyday ways she can be there for our children, such as snuggling, singing songs, dancing, reading stories and doing arts and crafts.

Kristen enjoys:
• Cooking and baking (she cooks dinner from scratch most nights!)
• Biking and Running
• Playing the piano
• Home decorating and gardening

Our Home in Wisconsin

We live in a Wisconsin suburb where we get to experience all four seasons. Our 4-bedroom home is in a park-like neighborhood with plenty of space, both inside and outside, for children to play. Our yard has many trees, a great patio for grilling and campfires, and a swing set. We live in a family-oriented subdivision with friendly neighbors and children, Christmas lights charity drive, family glow walk, Trick or Treat, and various walking trails.

Additionally, there is a large park across the street with a playground, splash pad, sledding hill, and green space. Our community has many biking and hiking trails, hosts holiday parades and festivals, and offers music on weekend nights in summer! We love watching the sunset each Friday night from the hill at the park across the street. We also live close to many lakes. In fact, our family has a cottage on a nearby lake and we love walking along Lake Michigan, which feels like our ocean.

Meet Noah and Our Extended Family

Noah is our happy and energetic 5-year-old son. We have an open adoption with his birthmother and have talked openly about his adoption story since he was born. We regularly connect with his birthmother through pictures and letters and are open for visits if/when she chooses. Noah is excited to have a sibling and a baby in our home. He loves helping and has the sweetest personality.

Both sides of our family live within a half hour of us. We see our families for dinners, holidays, birthdays and more. Additionally, Kristen’s parents come over several days per week to play with Noah while we work from home. Tyler’s siblings each have a child, so there are other children (all under the age of 4) in our family.

Our Promise

Our promise to you is that your child will feel loved by us everyday and will feel encouraged and supported to be all that they can be. We will teach them to be an honest, respectful and kind person and will ensure they have a great education and strong religious values. We promise your child will know who you are and we will share their adoption story with them. It would be a blessing and an honor to welcome your child into our family. You will always be an important part of our adoption story. You will always be loved by us and your child.

We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family

Our Faith

We are a Christian family who attends church, and discusses God/The Bible in our home. We pray daily before meals and bedtime and have age-appropriate devotions in our home (i.e sing "Jesus Loves Me" or talk about a story from the Bible).

A Fun Fact About Each of Us!

• Tyler backpacked/hiked the Ice Age Trail throughout Wisconsin the summer after college. It was about a 1,000 hike!

• Kristen has played the piano since the 4th grade and her dream was to always record all of her own wedding music. That dream came true and Kristen was able to record all her wedding music on a grand piano!

What It Means To Be Parents

Being parents is the proudest and most rewarding thing we have done and we are blessed with the opportunity to adopt again. For us, being a parent means providing a safe, loving, happy, and healthy environment where our children can thrive, learn, and pursue their hobbies and talents.

Favorite Family Traditions

• Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Basket Hunt, and Egg Dying
• Fall and Spring Camping Trips
• Our Christmas Morning Breakfast Celebration and our extended family celebrations on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day Dinner
• Pumpkin and apple picking
• Christmas Cookie Baking

In Closing

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering us to raise your child. We are so excited to grow our family and share our Easter and Christmas traditions, family camping trips, and playtime and story time with your child. We are already praying for you and your child and will be forever grateful for you.
