Hello from Wisconsin!
As a family, we love spending time outdoors, cooking meals together, and enjoying simple moments at home. Open adoption is already part of our story, and we deeply value the relationship we have with our son’s birth mother. If it feels right to you, we would be honored to stay in touch through photos, letters, or occasional visits—whatever you’re comfortable with.
Thank you so much for taking the time to get to know us—we truly look forward to getting to know you, too. We’re thrilled to be growing our family through adoption again! Our promise is to provide another child a life filled with unconditional love, laughter, and meaningful memories.
About Us
We met 12 years ago around a campfire at a mutual friend’s home, and we’ve been talking ever since! Our first date lasted over four hours—we simply didn’t want the conversation to end. After two wonderful years of dating, Tyler proposed while we were on vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park. We’ve now been married for 10 years and truly are each other’s best friend.
Our journey together has included some difficult seasons, especially as we faced infertility. While that time was emotional and challenging, it also deepened our bond and opened our hearts to the beauty of adoption. In 2019, we were incredibly blessed to adopt our son, Noah. His amazing birth mother entrusted us with the honor of raising him, and we continue to keep in touch with her to this day.
We love making memories together and finding joy in everyday life. Some of our favorite things to do as a family include:
- Cooking meals side by side
- Exploring new hiking trails
- Tackling home improvement projects (with lots of laughs!)
- Traveling—whether it’s a spontaneous day trip or a full-on vacation, camping in nature or discovering new cities
- Saturday mornings at the farmers’ market or the park
- Visiting the zoo in the afternoons with Noah
We aim for a healthy balance of activity and downtime, and we’re so excited to share our love, adventures, and traditions with another child.
About Tyler... According to Kristen
Tyler is my best friend, a devoted father, and a true family man. He works hard in pharmaceutical research and development, where he manages large patient populations and genuinely cares about understanding their needs. He finds meaning in listening to their stories and helping improve their care.
One of the greatest blessings is that Tyler works from home. This means he’s a daily, active presence in our son’s life—making lunch, joining us for backyard picnics, or heading to the park to race Noah down the slides. These little moments say so much about the kind of dad he is–loving, involved, and present.
Tyler is loyal, intelligent, curious, and a great communicator. He’s always learning something new and never hesitates to lend a hand or offer thoughtful advice. As a dad, he’s excited to share his love for the outdoors, go on family adventures, and support our children in whatever passions or hobbies they pursue.
Tyler enjoys:
- Camping and hiking
- Running
- Boating and time on the water
- DIY, woodworking, and landscaping (he’s incredibly handy and loves building things with his hands!)
About Kristen... According to Tyler
Kristen is a humble, supportive, and incredibly devoted wife and mother. (Honestly, I still don’t know how she manages to fit two days’ worth of love and productivity into every 24 hours!) She works from home managing risk for a financial firm, which gives her the flexibility to be present during Noah’s day—sharing lunch breaks, story time, and spontaneous mid-day snuggles.
Kristen unwinds through cooking and baking (lucky me!) and lights up when coming up with fun, creative, and meaningful ways to engage our son (lucky Noah!). She’s a selfless go-getter with a to-do list a mile long, yet she always makes time to truly listen, laugh, and love in all the ways that matter most.
As a mom, Kristen lights up at the opportunity to be present in the little moments: reading books, singing silly songs, dancing in the kitchen, or crafting art projects at the table. Her everyday presence is full of warmth, intention, and heart.
Kristen enjoys:
- Cooking and baking (she makes dinner from scratch most nights!)
- Biking and running
- Playing the piano
- Home decorating and gardening
Our Home in Wisconsin
We live in a welcoming Wisconsin suburb where we get to enjoy all four beautiful seasons. Our four-bedroom home sits in a park-like neighborhood with plenty of space—indoors and out—for children to play, explore, and grow. Our yard has many flowers and trees and includes a patio perfect for grilling and cozy campfires, plus a swing set that’s already well-loved.
Our neighborhood is family-oriented and full of friendly neighbors. It hosts fun, kid-friendly events like a Christmas lights charity drive, a family glow walk, Trick-or-Treating, and neighborhood walking trails that wind through the trees.
Right across the street is a large park with a playground, splash pad, sledding hill, and lots of open green space. We especially love watching the sunset from the top of the hill every Friday night—a little family tradition we all look forward to.
Our community also offers biking and hiking trails, weekend summer concerts, holiday parades, and seasonal festivals that bring everyone together. We’re close to several lakes, and one of our favorite places is our family cottage on a nearby lake. We also love walking along the shores of Lake Michigan, which feels like our own little ocean.
Meet Noah and Our Extended Family
Noah is our happy and energetic son who lights up every room he’s in. We’ve shared his adoption story with him from the very beginning, and we have a loving open relationship with his birth mother. We stay in touch through regular letters and pictures, and we are always open to visits whenever she feels ready. Noah knows he is deeply loved by both his birth and adoptive families, and we treasure the bond that continues to grow.
Noah is so excited to become a big brother! He talks often about having a baby in the house, and he already shows a gentle, helpful spirit with children younger than him. His heart is sweet and nurturing—we know he’ll be the sweetest big brother. He just turned 6 years old and says, “I’m SO excited to have a sibling, a built-in best friend, and a baby to feed and kiss!”
We feel incredibly blessed to have both sides of our family living within 30 minutes of us. We gather often for dinners, birthdays, holidays, and weekend visits. Kristen’s parents come over several times a week to play with Noah, which is a special part of his daily life while we work from home. Tyler’s siblings each have a young child, so Noah already has cousins close in age—and there’s no shortage of fun when everyone’s together!
Our Promise to You
Our promise to you is that your child will be deeply loved, every single day. They will grow up in a home filled with encouragement, support, laughter, and guidance to become all they are meant to be. We will nurture their confidence, teach them to be honest, kind, and respectful, and provide them with a strong foundation through education, faith, and family values.
Your child will always know their story. We will speak openly and lovingly about their adoption and about you—who you are, and the incredible love behind your decision. You will always be an important part of their life, and of ours.
It would be a true blessing and honor to welcome your child into our family. You will forever be loved and respected by us, and by your child.
We’d love to talk or answer any of your questions. To learn more about us, please call or text Lifetime at 1.800.923.6784.

More About Our Family
Our Faith
We are a Christian family, and our faith is an important part of our daily lives. We attend church regularly and talk about God and the Bible in our home in ways that are meaningful and age-appropriate. We pray together before meals and at bedtime, and we enjoy simple, faith-filled moments like singing “Jesus Loves Me” or sharing Bible stories with our son.
Our goal is to raise our children to know they are deeply loved by God and to help them build a strong foundation of faith, kindness, and grace as they grow.
Our Extended Families
Kristen grew up in a small but close-knit family. As an only child, she spent lots of time with her parents and grandparents, who were always ready to play, encourage, and make her feel deeply loved. She was raised in suburban Wisconsin and enjoyed a childhood full of activities and neighborhood friends. Today, her parents live just 20 minutes away, and we see them often—they have a special bond with Noah and are a big part of our daily lives.
Tyler is the oldest of three and has a younger brother and sister—who are twins! His family also lives just 20 minutes away. Tyler’s parents live on a nearby lake, and it’s one of our favorite places to spend time, especially in the summer. We often take boat rides, play in the water, and enjoy family time with Noah’s cousins, who love joining in on the lake adventures.
Both of our families are thrilled and supportive as we prepare to welcome another child into our home. They can’t wait to surround him or her with love, joy, and the same warmth they’ve always given to Noah.
A Fun Fact About Us
• Tyler backpacked and hiked the entire Ice Age Trail across Wisconsin the summer after college—nearly 1,000 miles of adventure, nature, and determination!
• Kristen has played the piano since 4th grade, and one of her lifelong dreams was to record her own wedding music. That dream came true—she recorded every piece on a beautiful grand piano for our special day!
Parenting
Becoming parents has been the most rewarding and meaningful part of our lives, and we feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to grow our family through adoption again.
To us, being a parent means creating a home that is safe, loving, joyful, and nurturing—a place where our children feel secure, deeply valued, and free to explore who they are. We are committed to supporting their growth, encouraging their dreams, and helping them discover their unique gifts and passions.
In Closing
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering us to raise your precious child. We promise to surround them with unconditional love, stability, and happiness. It brings us joy to imagine giving your child our hearts and building a life full of love and connection.
We are already praying for you and your child, and we will always hold deep gratitude for the selfless love you’re showing. No matter what, we are committed to honoring your role in your child’s life and walking this journey with care, love, and respect.
