Watson & Lane

Hi there!  We are Watson and Lane from beautiful north Georgia!  We love the Lord and love being active and spending time outdoors in the beautiful world He created.  God called us to adoption and we are so excited to welcome your baby into our family and become first-time parents!  On a typical weekend, you can find us on a hike, at a family game night, and with our church. We are open to any level of adoption that you are most comfortable with and understand that your preferences may change over time.  We are looking forward to getting to know you and hearing about the life you would like for your child. We believe that God has an incredible plan for your life and for your baby’s life and are praying for you!

About Us

We met several years ago at a Bible study during high school in 2014 and, 5 years later, we were married!  God spoke to our hearts and called us to adopt. We are thrilled to now walk this journey with you and grow our family in this way.  We love cooking together, going to basketball games, taking walks with our sweet dog Oso, and celebrating family traditions.  Lane is a Spanish teacher, speaks Spanish fluently, and is also a basketball coach. Lane is so excited to become a stay-at-home mom when our child arrives.  Watson is a physical therapist and loves helping others to improve and grow. We are both looking forward to pancakes on Saturday mornings, teaching our child to read, dancing around the house together, playing in the park with friends, swimming in the summer, and learning about Jesus together.

About Lane

Lane is a kind, loving, and hard-working wife that will be a great mom! She constantly seeks to care and provide for others and to meet their needs before her own. As a Spanish teacher and basketball coach, she builds a strong connection with her students and loves to support them in various ways. She has a heart for serving others and uses her talents at our church on Sunday mornings to translate the services into Spanish. Lane enjoys starting off every morning reading the Bible and journaling, and when she’s not at work, she enjoys going for a run or playing in the backyard with our dog. Lane looks forward to teaching our child about God’s love and loving others above all else. She is also excited to read bedtime stories and take him/her to the park and zoo.

About Watson

Watson is a kind, hardworking husband who puts his family’s needs first.  He always keeps a hand outstretched and looks for ways to serve others.  He is a very intelligent physical therapist and loves that his work allows him to better help and care for others.  He loves to learn and can’t wait to teach our child all about the world and lots of useful life skills. Watson also plays multiple musical instruments and loves making music- something he looks forward to sharing with our child. He lights up when playing with our niece and nephew (8 and 5 years old) and I know he will be a wonderfully loving dad!  He loves sports and can’t wait to take our child to basketball and football games in the future.

Our Family

Both of our extended families live under an hour away from our home and we see each other weekly.  We love to have dinners and cookouts together, go camping, play games outside in the backyard, and celebrate traditions and holidays together!  Christmas, Thanksgiving, and birthdays are the biggest events that we celebrate! We also make sure to plan a family vacation every summer for us all to get together. Our families are both thrilled about our adoption! We even have young children in our family who can’t wait to have more little cousins to play with!

Our Home in Georgia

We own our wonderful 1 story, 3 bedroom house. We love that we have plenty of space for our growing family! We have a big backyard with lots of room to run, play, and explore with our child.  We have already created a nursery for them and look forward to personalizing it even more once baby arrives.  We live in a quiet suburb town within driving distance of several major cities in Georgia. Not far from our house are several parks and lots of fun places to play outside. Our community in northeast Georgia is beautiful, safe, and sweet all while being in a fantastic school district!

Our Promise

We promise that your baby will be loved immensely!  We will care for them deeply and make sure he/she has every opportunity to explore their interests and passions.  We promise to make sure that your child knows how loved he/she is by you, by us, and most importantly by God.  We will teach your child about God’s love and share with them our passions for music, reading, dancing in the kitchen, and helping others. We will ensure that your child knows the joy of their adoption story and promise to always talk about you kindly and with love, and to treat you with honor and respect.

We look forward to keeping in contact with you at your comfort level.  We want you to know how much we love YOU as well. Though we haven’t met yet, please know that we are praying for you. God loves you and so do we.  🙂
