A Letter from Nick & Brandi
Hello! We’re Brandi and Nick. We have two children, Harmoni and Nickolas, and a hypoallergenic dog named Cooper. We are all so excited to meet you! We’d like to welcome you to learn more about us and offer you a huge hug all the way from North Carolina. We are thrilled to grow our family through adoption and look forward to hearing the pitter-patter of little feet in our home. We look forward to hearing your story and share with you letters, pictures, and visits if you would like.
Our chapter began in 2007, at the time we met, Nick was a single parent of 2 and on active duty in the military and, as soon as we met, we hit it off. After 2 years of long-distance dating, and a relocation from both of us to NC, we’ve been happily married for 10 years. Each year, we take 3 vacations, which include our annual familyversary.
Due to fertility issues, we have been unable to conceive naturally. We are excited to now grow our family through adoption. As parents, we are most looking forward to raising our child together with our Christian family values. We are excited to include your child in all of our family fun and share with them our love, support, and care. Both of our children share in our excitement, and each day ask for updates!
When I first met Nick, the first thing that stood out to me was the fact that he read just as much as I did. I was surprised to find out he was a single father, who had custody of his little ones. I loved the fact that he was able to balance work, military, and raising a family.
He enjoys taking walks, going to the gym each day, watching/ playing and coaching sports. Nick is totally an outside guy, he loves planting, fishing, and has turned our backyard into an amazing space. He’s even built me a memory garden for my Grandmother. He has worked hard to be the best father and husband and is looking forward to introducing our next child to sports, and dribble the ball around the driveway with them.
Brandi is one of the sweetest and most dependable people that I know. She loves to meet new people and go the extra mile to put smiles on everyone’s faces. Her excitement for life is contagious.
One of Brandi’s hobbies is teaching budgeting classes to elementary and middle school students. She loves working with youth, especially first-time college students and high school girls. She loves being an active parent for our children and participates in sports activities, the PTA, extracurricular actives and even volunteers as their room parent each year. In her spare time, she loves to decorate, make home-cooked meals, read, and watch HGTV.
Brandi is looking forward to passing down her mom’s recipes’, doing natural hair, and supporting any interest our child may have.
Our 5 bedroom home is where the fun is, we enjoy laughing, telling jokes and the occasional visits from neighbors and friends. We eat dinner as a family in the evenings and share stores about our day. Our home is surrounded by friendly neighbors with other infant and toddler children. Our neighborhood has a pool, park and nature trails available which are perfect for having plenty of family fun. Our home has a built-in nursery nook in the Master Bedroom and we’ve already started decorating our future nursery!
Our oldest, Harmoni, is 17 and exploring her future career. She is one year away from voting and leaving for college. The youngest, Nickolas, is 14 and eager to be the big brother. Both children have taken music lessons and played multiple instruments. Our daughter is looking forward to reading her favorite childhood books each night to your child while our son is most excited about future park visits and teaching them soccer.
We both come from very large extended families and small/medium-sized immediate families. Both of us were raised by our grandmothers with cousins who are like our siblings. Nick’s mom lives nearby, and visits often. Brandi parents always enjoy it when we call/ facetime or visit so they can connect with their grandchildren. Our families are thrilled for our adoption and look forward to welcoming your child into the family

Your child will grow up knowing that they are loved by us, by you, and God. We promise to keep you updated on their development with whatever method brings the most comfort to you- Pictures, letters, or visits.

Our family loves to spend time with family and friends. We live in North Carolina but have roots in Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee and Virginia. We enjoy traveling to see family and to occasionally get away from home and site see. We are all book worms that enjoy reading and listening to music.
We live out our faith as a proud Christian family. We've all volunteered and attended Elevation church for the last five years. In our home, we don't use the titles, of Stepmom, or Stepchildren, we are family who love each other and believe we have been put together by God!

Our parenting style is active and hands on, with lots of encouragement, fun and love along the way. We are active parents, whether it's Nick coaching our son's soccer team for the past 6 years, or Brandi and our daughter selling Girl Scout cookies and doing each other's hair. We live by the motto, shoot for the moon, and even if you miss, you'll be amongst the stars.
|Some of our Family Traditions|
Our most favorite part of our lives, is establishing new traditions and celebrating. Both of us where the first in our families to do a lot of things (college, international travel, owning a business) so we love the fact we've been able to chart our path together. No matter how busy our day is full of activities or events, we sit down as a family for dinner each night to recap our day. As a couple, we both love going to the movies, traveling to new places together, and spending time with our extended families.
