A Letter from Steve & Susan
We are extremely honored and humbled that you are considering us. We have always talked about having children, but have not been able to have a child biologically. We strongly believe whole-heartedly that option is the right path for our family. We are both educated individuals and value the importance of education as well as extracurricular activities, such as sports, clubs and any of the child’s personal interest. We promise to always provide a strong, supportive learning environment. We look forward to becoming first-time parents, sharing our close, and loving family.
We met in 5th grade and remained friends throughout the years as Steve moved around with his father’s job. Many years later, Steve accepted a position in Texas and shortly after we reconnected. It wasn’t long before we realized we had something special and got married. We will be celebrating our 7th anniversary in 2020. Though we have been unable to have biological children, we know whole-heartedly that adoption is the right path for our family.
We are very family-oriented and have always talked about growing our family through adoption. We have two dogs, Dakota (Standard Poodle) & Daisy (Maltese), who enjoy going for walks and getting belly rubs. We love to travel and have enjoyed many fun adventures including road trips, flights across the US and cruises. We are blessed to have these great adventures and are excited to one day share them with your child. We both valve the importance of education, as well as extra-curricular activities, such as sports, clubs and personal interest. We also look forward to sharing our values and family commitment with your child.
Steve is the sweetest man I have ever met. He excels at providing for our family and is always there to support me in all endeavors that I take on. Steve is an amazing cook, grills like a professional, takes great pride in keeping our home safe, and keeping our yard perfectly groomed. He is a lover of trivia, history, and playing chess. Steve is fun, playful and patient with children, all things that show when playing with our nieces and nephews. I know that he will be a great father and that he is excited to share his passion for history with our child.
Susan is an amazing woman who radiates confidence and excels in everything she puts her mind to- all while remaining down to earth. She has a passion for helping others so her career as a Registered Nurse fits her perfectly. Susan has a contagious laugh, loves to be creative and likes to add a personal touch to our home by decorating it for each holiday of the year. She also enjoys gardening, baking and learning about other cultures. Susan has a big heart and loves children. She is always there to play games with our niece’s and nephews or help with schoolwork. Susan is looking forward to taking our child on trips to new places and sharing with them her passion for learning about other cultures. I know she will be an amazingly caring, patient and nurturing mother.
We have a large extended family. Susan’s family resides in Texas and Steve’s family parents and his sister’s family reside in Arizona and his brother’s family reside in Pennsylvania. We are very family-oriented and we celebrate holidays, birthdays, or just family get-togethers as often as possible. We are excited to introduce our new family member to the joy of our family traditions, such as decorating our house for each holiday, celebrating themed birthday parties with friends and family, traditional family pictures for on-going memories, and the weekend bar-b-ques. Our family members are very supportive and anxiously await our new member to our family.
Our home is situated in a very comfortable cul-de-sac in a great neighborhood with amazing neighbors. It is a two-story home with three bedrooms, an office space, a balcony with a great view of the mountains and plenty of space, both inside and out, to host family, play games, and make memories. The nursery is already finished and ready for your child. We chose our home knowing that we would raise our family here as it is in a great neighborhood and is located in the best school districts in the city.
We promise to provide your child with a stable home filled with love, laughter, and support. They will be surrounded by family, friends, and security throughout their lives. We will provide them with a strong education and all the encouragement that they will need to become the person they were meant to be. Your child will know, every day, how loved and cherished they are by us and by you.
We would love to speak with you about the kind of open adoption that you would be most comfortable with. We are open to sharing letters, pictures, and visits.
