Lifetime Adoption Celebrates 35 Years of Adoption Excellence

 

A passion for building families led owner Mardie Caldwell, C.O.A.P., to start Lifetime Adoption

Nevada City, CA, January 20, 2021 – An impressive milestone was reached this month at Lifetime Adoption — they celebrated their 35th anniversary of bringing expectant mothers and adoptive parents together in open adoptions.

Caldwell’s dedication to the support and care of birth mothers started with her own personal experience adopting her son. She then became a Certified Open Adoption Practitioner and learned the need for care and compassion that both birth parents and adoptive parents require during their adoption journey. For 35 years, she has led Lifetime Adoption as it brought many birth mothers and adoptive families together through the adoption plan she created that is personalized for each adoption.

As one of the first internet adoption providers, Caldwell built a nationwide network and began working with people across the country. Today, the trained Adoption Coordinators at Lifetime Adoption focus on all aspects of domestic, open adoption. Through hard work and dedication, Caldwell’s team completes 8 to 10 adoptions per month.

Reflecting on the 35 years Caldwell has spent building Lifetime, she said,

The Lifetime staff works tirelessly under founder and C.E.O. Caldwell and Vice President Heather Featherston to create matches between birth parents and adoptive families. Featherston, who has been with Lifetime for 18 years, shares that, “Modern adoption education is a high priority for us. Caldwell is a nationally sought adoption expert and the author of several award-winning adoption books. She has more than 150 media credits to her name, including Larry King Live, The Today Show, CNN Headline News, and Fox. In addition, Caldwell was recently honored with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s “Woman-Owned Business of the Year” honoring her leadership at Lifetime Adoption.
