Recently we received this photo and back-story along with a donation of items to bless mothers choosing adoption. Casey and April welcomed their daughter last year have had just celebrated her first birthday AND the finalization of her adoption. We were touched to be part of their family’s seasonal tradition of giving to those in need:
“Dear Lifetime, Our family is doing well. This past week, we finalized Carly’s adoption. It was such a special day, filled with lots of love and smiles.
Every year, our family chooses an organization to help at Christmas time and this year we have chosen to bless the special birth parents you work with. Lifetime will forever be dear to our hearts.
We wanted our children to feel the joy of giving to others. We took each of them to the store, let them pick out a stocking and fill it with whatever they felt birth mothers may need/want. I say this not to bring attention to what we did, but to give you an explanation of why you will see fun things, such as Sponge Bob tissue and other silly items. I hope it helps bring a laugh or smile to a birth mother in need. Carly wasn’t able to pick things out this year, but she loves to snuggle in her warm pajamas, so warm pink pajamas seemed fitting to donate from her. They are so excited to share their stockings and love with birth mothers in need.
From our family to yours,
Casey and April and family”
There’s still time if you’re looking for ways to donate for tax purposes, or to pass along the blessings you experienced over the Christmas holidays.
Tax-deductible donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping pregnant mothers in need who have chosen adoption for a child.
Through Wednesday, December 31, 2014, you can make donations to the Lifetime Adoption Foundation through LifetimeFoundation.org or by calling 1-800-923-6784, and claim your charitable contribution when you complete your taxes for this year. (The Lifetime Adoption Foundation is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Charity.)
We are so thankful for families like Casey and April’s who make it possible for us to bless birth mothers with clothing, toiletries, and other personal items to meet a need or lift their spirits. Please consider donating today or spreading the word about the opportunity to make a tax-deductible donation to the Lifetime Adoption Foundation.
