Have you found that you’re worrying more lately? Worried if you will be matched with a birth mother soon? Worried whether you will be matched at all with a birth mother? Worried if you can tell she will be the right one? Worried whether the baby will be healthy? Worried you can afford to adopt right now? Worried and worried until you can’t enjoy the day and the blessings you do have?

God gives us grace for today and then when tomorrow comes we will have grace from Him again. We can’t worry about the past and worrying about the “what if’s” of the future of things that might not need us to worry about. It just keeps us from being happy today.
I find myself worring at times too and struggle as many others do. I have to stop and ask myself:

  • Do I really have any control of this?
  • Is worrying going to help change it?
  • Have I done everything I needed to do that I am worrying about?
  • Is there something that I need to do to help with my worrying and fear?
  • Or, is it now just a “waiting on God” time?

I have seen people that had so much fear and worrying in their lives that they attracted what they feared the most. When they did have what they wanted in front of them, they worried so much about making a mistake and just couldn’t believe it that their fear kept them from getting just want they wanted. It is sad to see this go so far; they were not prepared and prayed up.
Don’t spend your valuable time on worrying. Think about what you are worring about, then pray about it and then put it in the hands of the Lord to take care of it. God is faithful to His children and remember He has a plan for you and everyone in your life including the child that will come into your family. He has has this master plan before you were born. Wow, that is powerful.
So, do your part and leave the details to the Lord. It is so comforting to know whatever our tomorrows hold; He will give us the strength to get through it. He will give you the support and people you need for any situation. He is the one that holds our tomorrows and is aware of our desires and has the perfect plan. It might look a little different than our plan but the best will come from what He has planned, when we have faith in Him.
God is with you right now and as a believer remember to live one day at time and enjoy today without needed worries and fear of tomorrows. Ask God today for grace and for wisdom to get pass the worry. He is faithful.

Blessing to you,

Matthew 6:34: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
