Scoobie & Darrelle

We are a Christian couple excited to grow our family through adoption! We are excited to become first-time parents and share our lives and passions with your child. We love spending time with family, enjoy traveling, and spending time together riding in Scoobie’s antique cars. and want to help anyone we can.  We are excited to get to know you, share more about ourselves with you, and keep in touch with you at your comfort level. 

About Us

We were introduced to each other at one of Scoobie’s family dinners and we have been together ever since! 2 years later we were married and have now been together for 8 years. We love to spend time with our families, have them all over while we grill out on the deck, go for big family cruises, and have evening dinners together. Together also like going for long car rides in Scoobie’s antique cars, attending sporting events, traveling, and spending time at home listening to good music. We are excited to share our passion for family time with your child and look forward to teaching them about music, the world around them, and cheering for them in whatever sport they find interest in!

About Scoobie

Scoobie is an energetic, fun-loving, and kind man. He is a personal hero to many young men and women in his community and coaches youth football, baseball, and basketball.  Scoobie also loves to restore vintage cars, ride his motorcycle, and listen to music. He is a wonderful caregiver, I know this first hand from watching his commitment to me during my battle with breast cancer.  He was at every appointment, made sure I had medicine, blankets, food, and absolutely whatever I needed to keep me comfortable.  Now, cancer-free, I can say with all certainty that Scoobie will be a wonderfully dedicated father to our child! He is excited to teaching them the fundamentals of whatever sport they show interest in. If not interest in sports, he looks forward to learning all he can about whatever passion our child may have!

About Darrelle

Darrelle is bold and outgoing as well as nurturing and patient.  She learns from experience and has so much wisdom and knowledge to offer the world.  She is the CEO of our home and handles the budget and finances while I handle all the physical things. In her free time, she loves to read, travel, share her knowledge with others in our community, and listen to music. I love Darrelle’s strength of self. While fighting cancer she always knew God was with her and never gave up! Now, cancer-free, she inspires others around her to have faith and keep moving forward. She will be a truly inspiring mother to our child. Darrelle looks forward to reading our child bedtime stories, teaching them how to read, how to play the piano, and showing them that they can do anything they set their mind to.

Our Family

We both have large extended families who are very excited about welcoming a new addition to our family.  Darrelle’s family is from Mobile and we travel there at least once a month to visit them.  We spend lots of time there at the beach and fishing!  Darrelle’s brother, his wife, and their 1-year-old son live locally, about eight minutes from our home.  Scoobie’s family is local as well and we love that we get to see them often! Be it for dinner at their place or ours.   

We are all excited to include your child in family dinners and vacations.  We especially look forward to Christmas when we are all together for food, fun, and quality time.  We also look forward to introducing your child to our church family who has been very supportive in praying for us over the years.  

Our Home in Alabama

Our 4 bedroom, 3 bath home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac. We have a large finished basement which is Scoobie’s man-cave, Darrelle also has a sunroom where she often reads or works from home.  We already have a nursery all set up for your child.  Our wrap-around deck overlooks our backyard which is fenced in and already has a swing and trampoline in it. In the front yard, our driveway has a basketball hoop and lots of baseball equipment! We love having so much of our family local to us as it means plenty of family time!

Our Promise

We promise to provide your child with a life of unconditional love. God is the center of our marriage and we will raise your child to know God and that nothing is impossible with Him at their side.  We look forward to purchasing an RV so we can take your child to every zoo and aquarium in the country.  We will take them to live sporting events, take them to see shows on Broadway, show them the power of family, and share with them our passion for traveling- especially Europe and Africa!  We want them to have a healthy life, which includes you to whatever level of contact you feel comfortable with.  We are open to visits, email, and text and would love to learn more about you.

Thank you for being so brave and selfless. We promise to love your child the way God loves them and in a way that honors you as a mother. We promise you will be proud to be their birthmother! You will have an opportunity to see them grow and mature during our visits and calls/texts.
