The phone rings at midnight. Labor has started. If she catches the first flight out in the morning, Sherri should be there by noon, tomorrow. An unsurpassed excitement turns knots in her stomach and quickens her heart.

They are going to be parents! Their baby girl is on her way and their eleven month wait is soon to be over. Is the bag packed? Does she have her to-do list? Sherri picks up the phone to share the good news with her husband. Her blissful voice rings across the 6,500 miles. His assigned leave is only weeks away and he will join them soon. They plan to name her Holly: their little Christmas miracle.

Here at Lifetime Adoption, we have worked with military families to help them answer the call to parent. Life does not stop when men and women are shipped out to bases across the globe. Families are still being built and the need for God’s provision becomes all the more apparent.

Many birth Mothers have grown up in military households and choose such an environment for their babies. They know firsthand what a vibrant and purposeful life all branches of the military have to offer. They are drawn to the world travel, patriotism and the greater sense of purpose.military family

Many families live in military compounds that provide a sense of extended family. They are surrounded by others that understand the inherent challenges that face our service men and women. There is always someone there to offer compassion and encouragement. There is always someone nearby to make a meal and offer a sympathetic ear. It is a very tight knit and loving community.

If you are in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coastguard we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Our freedoms are only possible through your selfless dedication to God and country. We want you to know that it is possible to adopt, even if your husband or wife is serving overseas and this holiday season might very well be the perfect time to start the process. It takes more planning and organization, but nothing that can’t be overcome. The wife commonly gains power of attorney for her deployed husband, so she can sign the legal papers associated with the adoption as it unfolds.

Thank you again for your sacrifice and courage. If God has put adoption on your heart, we will joyously walk you through the process step by step. There is no need to postpone your dreams of having a family. Lifetime Adoption is committed to your success. Military men and women make outstanding parents and we want to see your dreams come true!
