Here at Lifetime we often hear from women thinking about adoption: “I would love to be a part of my baby’s life through open adoption, but I don’t want it to be confusing for him.”
Open adoption benefits a child. Open adoption allows a child to grow up with answers that many people raised through closed adoption lack. Most women want to make sure their baby feels secure and part of a stable family. She wants to choose adoptive parents who will be “mom and dad” and know that her child is loved and accepted completely.
Open adoption helps a child grow up with age-appropriate understanding of his personal birth story, and confidence as part of the family his birthmom chose for him. We’re just a call away if you have any questions about open adoption and how it works. Lifetime Adoption: 1-800-923-6784.
