these videos show you how modern adoption looks!If you’ve just started to think about adoption for your baby or child, it can be hard to picture how it’d work. Many women find it helpful to hear about what adoption is like from other mothers who have chosen adoption for their child.

Today, Lifetime is showing you videos of women sharing their own modern adoption stories as birth mothers. These videos will give you a real-life look at what modern adoption is like today!

You probably have a lot of questions coming to mind as you think about adoption. In these webinars, birth mothers answer in their own words and talk about their personal experience through the adoption process. They also tell you what life is like nowadays for her and her child through open adoption.

Adrianne’s Story
When Adrianne learned that she was pregnant, it felt like her life was over. Her mom gave her a packet of info about adoption, and Adrianne realized the benefits of adoption. Watch as she tells how she picked adoptive parents for her son, what their relationship is like today, and who helped her along the way:

Rebecca’s Story
Rebecca chose an open adoption plan for daughter, which means that she selected the parents and now gets updates on her. She hopes that all women who are considering adoption can learn from her experience. In this video, she shares why she chose adoption, how she picked her baby’s adoptive parents, and what open adoption means to her:

Chloe’s Story 
In this last video, Chloe and the adoptive mom she picked, Heather, share their story of what open adoption looks like in their lives. These videos show how unique adoption can be. Of course, if you’re not hoping for AS open an adoption as these women chose, that’s OK too! Modern adoption is about choosing what works for you and coming to a mutual understanding with the adoptive family you pick for your baby. And remember, counseling and peer support is available to you while you think about adoption, as you make adoption plans, or after the adoption.
