Adoption Stories Then and Now – Kevin and Tequila

then and now kevin and tequila.jpgWe’re blessed to be sharing another adoptive couple’s heartwarming story in our blog series “Then and Now.” Our successful story of adoption features Lifetime adoptive family, Kevin and Tequila from Georgia.

As they started their adoption journey with Lifetime, they shared, “we’re excited about welcoming our first child into our family through the miracle of adoption. Our relationship is built on love, faith, and encouragement. We cannot wait to share our dedication to our dreams and many opportunities with a precious child!”

In their adoption profile, Kevin and Tequila wrote, “We’ve been married for eight years. After a few miscarriages and struggling with infertility, we decided to grow our family through adoption.  We are both humbled and excited by the possibility of growing our family.

We love to travel, bowl, go to the movies, attend sporting events, paint, and swimming in Tequila’s parents’ pool. Our favorite things to do together are walking through our neighborhood with our dogs and having family dinner nights once a week.

We live in a suburb of Georgia with plenty of green space, and only a short drive from the city. We live on a quiet neighborhood street on a cul-de-sac lot with a large yard for play. We have a four bedroom home with plenty of room for a nursery and a playroom. Tequila is a teacher for the local school system and we are confident in its ability to provide a great education!”

Their story towards adopting Maddox started when two of our Florida staff members met with his birth mother. Tiffany and Chrissy of Lifetime provided her with a labor bag, full of needed essentials for her hospital stay.

Then, that very night, Maddox’s birth mother went into labor! Kevin and Tequila were able to make it to the hospital in time for delivery!

They sure make a beautiful family! Here’s a sweet video of Kevin, Anthony, Maddox, and Lifetime’s staff during an impromptu visit to our Florida office:
