There is no more loving choice for your baby than adoption if parenting is not the best option for you and your baby. In an open adoption, you will be the one to make the choices for yourself and your baby. You will choose the adoptive parents, decide what kind of contact you want in the future, and plan how things will go at the hospital.
In the Virgin Islands, your Lifetime Adoption coordinator will work with you to find out what resources you need and how to give you access to those resources.
What happens if you are not pregnant but struggling to raise a toddler or young children? You may want to provide them with a chance at a different life. Lifetime Adoption has many profiles of adoptive families who are excited to grow their families by adopting a toddler, sibling group, older child, or special needs child.

In foster care situations, you will work with the Department of Human Services.
Kinship or relative adoption may also be an option. This can be a great solution if you have a family member interested in adoption, but there are a few things to consider. This can put a strain on relationships, and there can be boundary issues as well.
Be sure to think about all the pros and cons of each adoption option and go over them with your Lifetime coordinator or a professional counselor.
