Your Lifetime coordinator will help you find the right family and create the perfect adoption plan for you and your baby. Here are some questions she may ask you:
- What are you looking for in an adoptive family, such as certain traits or characteristics?
- Do you want updates, social media contact, or even visits in the future?
- Would you like to create a hospital plan that includes the adoptive parents?
- Are you experiencing any pregnancy-related expenses you need help with?
Adoption is not an easy choice, but if it is the right one, it can be a comfort to know that you can stay in contact and watch as your baby thrives in their adoptive home. Many adoptive families and birth mothers have formed wonderful, close relationships which benefit everyone, especially the child. For instance, one of our amazing birth mothers was getting married and asked if her daughter might be able to come to the wedding. She was delighted that not only was her daughter there, but the adoptive parents also attended, and the adoptive father even walked the birth mother down the aisle.
